Lido Casa by Olá Madeira

Very comfortable, well equipped, convenient for buses, supermarkets, restaurants and a swim

Pros: Ana had sent a message before we arrived and was stood outside the building waiting for us when the taxi pulled up at the kerb; it doesn't get much better. We were then shown arround the apartment and the waste recycling facilities. Everything was explained, including emphasis on which local supermarkets were good value. The arrival routine was a very good experience. The apartment is very clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay. The hosts provide contact details and make themselves available should you need them. The bus stops for town are just a 2 minute walk away and buses are frequent. There are plenty of food venues nearby but, if you fancy staying in then the kitchen is well equipped for most food preparations.

Cons: I'd like to have a proper curtain over the sliding doors; the mesh curtain is good during the day and would keep the bugs out but at night, when the lights are on, offers no privacy. Be careful with your state of dress if it's dark outside and the lights are on in the lounge area. The bedroom has no such concerns as there are good curtains.

Pros: Appartement is nice and clean. Dino is warm and helpful host. Location is exellent.

Cons: In neighbouring appartement a child started running around every morning at 6.

Pros: The property was great, had everything we needed, very clean, great location for getting around and having our own parking spot was great too.

Cons: It could be a bit noisy (cars racing up and down) but you can’t have the central location without noise from traffic 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pros: The property was ideally located in popular Lido. There was a bus stop outside the apartment and the Lifo pools 200m down the road. Great restaurants and supermarkets on hand in this very vibey and clean area.

Amazing flat with pool!!!

Brand new, bright & beautiful furnished, super clean, great location, stunning view, super comfortable bed, perfect working station, fast WiFi and the pool on top of the building with 360 degrees views, made our stay just unforgettable. Everything is close by and accessible!

Pros: Dino and Anne-Lise were amazing hosts. Dino met us at the building and toured the apartment with us, explaining everything and answering our questions. He was available by phone or text if we had any issues and was quick to respond with assistance. The apartment is clean and has all the amenities. It is located in the Lido district which is about a 25 minute stroll to the old part of the city or a short bus ride. There is a city bus stop and a hop on hop off bus stop right across the street. There are two Pingo Doce grocery stores a 5 minute walk away. There are a great variety of restaurants in the area as well as a very pleasant walkway along the ocean. There is also a large community outdoor pool and sunbathing complex close by. The building is located at a busy corner so there is some traffic noise. However it was not an issue for us since we were out touring most days. This apartment was excellent value for the money.

Cons: The outdoor pool area on the roof gives a nice view of the area. However the lounge chairs are showing wear and tear.
