Funchal Apt- Sleeps 2 - Pool & Parking - Madeira

Amazing little place!

Pros: We stayed here Xmas 2025 and through the new year. Madiera certainly is the most amazing place, especially at this time of year. Nico could not have been nicer. He has created an apartment that had a luxury but homely feel. He definitely got the attentive host combined with giving us our privacy perfect. He was so welcoming and informative and even invited us to watch the fireworks from his balcony. Nico you made our stay amazing, thank you. The apartment was perfect for us. Had everything we needed and the attention to detail put it up a level. We will definitely return to Madiera and will stay here again. Could not recommend highly enough.

Cons: Nothing.

The best in Madeira.

Pros: Nice and clean appartment with fully ecquipped kitchen, if you want to cook is everything in it you need. Good bed mattress, Nice shower with constant water pressure and keeps warm. Siiting area with internet tv and eating area. Outside beautiful swimmingpool in garden upstairs and sitting area. In 01:15H Max. you can be everywhere on the island by car (you do need rental car) so good base to start your adventure trips on the island. Host owner lives upstairs, in house, appartment is at ground level. Niko is a very friendly person. If you need something have a question of what so ever, he wiil do his utmost best for you. He is a host who loves to make your stay as pleasant as possible. At arrival there was a bottle of wine and water in the fridge.

Pros: The accommodation was beautifully furnished and everything was brand new. The spaces were very comfortable and well designed. It's located just outside Funchal – only a 5-minute drive – in a quiet and peaceful area, which we really appreciated. The private pool was a great plus. The owner lives in the same building but was always discreet and respectful, while being readily available and happy to offer helpful tips and support when needed. Highly recommended!

Great Stay, fantastic host. Far from crowded centre.

Pros: Nico is a fantastic host. He's been waiting for my arrival until very late and he took me for a supermarket ruinthe following day. The apartment is very well set in the high part of Funchal, quite close to the Olympic pools. Full kitchen equipment, washing machine and a lot of facilities. I fwelt very much at home, despite not using the nice swimming pool because I had no time. Uber to downtown is less than 10 euro. Enough small shops around not to need other trips to supermarket.

Cons: Due to the conformation of the terrain, most of the apartment is underground. This means that external light comes only from the big frontal window. A bit humid, but the whole island is such. Steep climb to reach the house (like almost everywhere elnse in Funchal)

Perfect!

Pros: Everything was spot on. The property is beautifully decorated, and super comfortable.. the pool and the garden upstairs are just wonderful. The host is very kind and gave us fantastic recommendations

Cozy and well-equipped apartment with a wonderful host

Pros: We stayed at this charming granny flat in July and had a wonderful experience. The host lives in the house upstairs and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He shared many helpful recommendations. The apartment itself was very well equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen appliances to a washing machine. The flat is located up the hill outside of Funchal but this wasn't an issue for us as we had a rental car. For those without a car, there seem to be buses available, and we found that using Bolt taxis was an easy and affordable option to travel to and from Funchal.

Cons: One minor drawback was that the apartment tended to get a bit damp, and it was challenging to dry clothes and shower towels. The air circulation was limited since the front door was also the only window. This didn't significantly impact our overall positive experience though and we recommend this place for a pleasant stay in Madeira.

Clean and Comfortable with a friendly host

Pros: Very friendly and helpful host. Good transport links to Funchal. The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped for everything you would need. Bed was king size and exceptionally comfortable.

Cons: Not really within walking distance to Funchal, but on a bus route.

Fantastic

Pros: The host was very kind, he even took us on a trip to the nunvalley which was lovely. He did not expect anything in return. The pool is lovely. The host was very considerate of our privacy but also suggesting many options for things to do. The walk towards the city centre is around 40 minutes downhill. We took a taxi back up.

Cons: Nothing, we would like to go back.

Pros: Very comfortable and complete furnished appartment. We appreciated the double bed, the nice kitchen for cooking and the good bathroom. Niko is a very nice host and makes you feel at home. You can enjoy the garden and use the swimming pool any time you like. We rented a car to see the island during our stay. There is a bus nearby as well.

Cons: Appartment is situated at a steep road with some traffic going by during the day.

Pros: Nico is a great host. The pool is nice. There are many facilities.

Cons: The appartment has only one (large) window/door, but it's right at the street and it can get noisy.
