Pros: Good place. Near the 10 minutes to the city center. Clean rooms, nice staff.

Cons: No soundproof. I heard every movement of my neighbors. No windows blinds, shutters or curtains.

Really nice play to stay according to price.

Pros: The location is really good. 10 minutes walk and you are in the city center. Also the host Pedro - super helpful and really nice. Answered alll our questions with the details 💛 everything was really clean which is very important for me.

Cons: No parking spot on the property, in front of the building it’s two tiny places - if they are taken you have to looking for much further.

Great deal

Pros: Great value for the price, nice kitchen, warm shower and relatively clean. The location is really good too. We were welcomed very nicely by the staff - we even got some Madeira wine to taste.

Cons: Bed is not the most comfortable one and there is no real blanket. But again for the price no complaints.

Pros: FX Carvalhal is very clean and the room was spacious. There is a big kitchen in case you want to cook your own food.

Cons: The hotel is next to a relatively busy road that leads up a hill, so expect some noise from passing cars, especially if you are on the second floor facing the road.

Pros: The owner greeted us and explained everything which was really nice, the only thing is that because of that we had to know the time that we are arriving at. Everything was nice and clean. The towel had a stain but i think its just a stain from before and i think that they washed it because it smelled nice, so thats not a problem. The kitchen is well equiped. There is a lot of places to park in the streets nearby so i think parking is not a problem. The lines where white so i think that means that they are free as well (if i'm not wrong)

Cons: Dogs were barking pretty loud. I know it's not something that the owner can fix, but it can be a problem for some people so that's why im writing it down. I have no problem with that so I slept really well.

Very good stay for the short city break in Funchal.

Pros: Very good localisation - 5 mins by foot to the Santa Maria street and the coast line. Hostel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Kitchen has everything that you need to cook some food.

Cons: You hear everything what is happening inside the building (room near the kitchen on ground floor) or outside (but you can close windows - for us that was no problem). But this is climat that is somehow connected to hostels - you have to accept such things.
