Beautiful Funchal

Pros: Clean, comfortable cozy spot, perfect for a few days as a solo traveller, little up from Funchal, but bus spot right outside and lovely bakery nearby, taxis home very affordable, will be back !

Cons: Very steep walk down to the old town, fine for me but worth considering for other travellers, a few cooking items, oil or seasonings would be of use as only on a short stay so purchasing a little pointless.

Would come back again

Pros: We spent 2 weeks in the studio apartment, and it was perfectly suited for 2 people. The studio features a clean, comfortable bed, a basic but well-equipped kitchen, and a renovated bathroom. The house sits at a nice spot overlooking Funchal. There’s a secure private driveway available for parking but it’s quite narrow, so better suited for confident drivers. Otherwise, there are a few parking spaces along the street. The host Ligia is also very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again :)

Cons: The Wi-Fi connection doesn't work most of the time so we had to rely on our internet data which wasn't a problem for us. There's also a very busy road right next to the house so if you're not a sound sleeper, keep that in mind.

Cons: Nothing really. I wouldn't hesitate to go back 100% recommended

Pros: The apartment is very comfortable. The owner is very friendly. There are some very friendly cats. It has a beautiful patio full of plants and great views. Although it is a bit far from the center, there are bus stops nearby.

Cons: It would be nice if it had more kitchen products like condiments, oil, etc.

Pros: The house is really cosy and has everything needed for a nice trip. The views up there are amazing. The host is so lovely, she answered all of our questions and helped us.

Pros: Very nice apartament, close to the city centre. The bed was super comfortable. The owner was really nice and helpful. She helped us with the laundry. :)

Good value for a little further from town

Pros: Nice place for the independent traveler. The place is cozy with a comfy bed and kitchen. There is a balcony with a seating area.

Cons: It is 20 mins walking to center up/down a steep hill, so either you are fit or will call a taxi/Bolt.
