Pros: Don't expect luxury, but for the price it was great. The accommodation had everything we needed (dryer, hair dryer, kettle...), several windows (good for ventilating the humidity that is normal in Madeira), access to a shared terrace, plus a well-equipped large shared kitchen and above all beautiful views and an authentic feel.
Cons: We would have appreciated a door to the bathroom. There was a bit of mold on some of the window blinds, but in humid Madeira this is understandable, we didn't mind and otherwise the whole room was clean and smelled nice.

Pros: The best host ever! With my family we loved our stay in the property. The house has its own story and is very well equiped. We enjoyed each morning the breakfast in the nice garden with a stunning view. I trully recommend.

Easy access to the whole island.
Pros: We stayed two nights at this property and overall, it was a decent experience with a few things to note. The facilities are good — the kitchen is well-equipped, everything was clean, and the contact with the host was smooth. The room was okay, though the bed wasn’t very comfortable, and the bathroom was small, but functional. The location is fine, although the beach area in São Vicente was under renovation, and a nearby building was also being remodeled, so there was some noise during the day. The main downside was the poor sound insulation. On the first night, other guests woke up very early, and we could clearly hear showers, doors slamming, etc. It disrupted our sleep. Thankfully, the second night was quiet and much better. In short: a clean, practical stay, but not ideal for light sleepers.

Spacious, clean and equipped in anything you can possibly need
Pros: The place is very spacious, feels more like air BnB than the guesthouse. The host is very kind and responsive, there are plenty of little helpful touches all over the place (some free food in the fridge, coffee, some fruits etc). Very nice location above but also close to the village. Everything is spotlessly clean and equipped above any expectations (common kitchen with air fryer, toaster etc)
Cons: Really great place - Sao Vicente itself is a quite remote location (quite a travel even with the car, leave alone public transport), so you need to make sure you like the vibe. We did love it there!

Pros: The location is great, in the middle of the island, so everything is pretty close by car. There is also a little supermarket, gas station and several restaurants nearby. The kitchen is very well equipped, the owner also leaves some fruits or a cake every 2-3 days for free to take. The parking is also easy. The house is shared with other people so you can always bump to someone interesting and have a chat. To sum up, I think it is very decent for this price.
Cons: The private bathroom in the room is pretty small but there is a bigger one in the hallway, that is shared with other guests. The room was very humid, but there was a small radiator in the room so we could dry our clothes and towels (which are btw. changed every 2-3 days which is great!). Also to mention, the accommodation is not for someone who is very strict on a cleanliness, the room was also a little bit smelly and probably mouldy, but we were fine.

Pros: The location of guesthouse is great, stunning view for the mountains. We haven’t been lucky with the weather unfortunately. It was rather cold and rainy but the guesthouse was comfortable and well equipped.
Cons: Entrance is in the back of the guesthouse. We didn’t see any information in the mails about it so we’ve been confused. Therefore the only drawback was lack of information beforehand.
