Mountain retreat

It’s probably much better here in the summer.

Pros: The house is not bad overall and it was clean. However, it was very cold inside. The air conditioners were not powerful enough to properly heat the house. Also, if you take a shower and someone turns on water anywhere else in the house, the water in the shower just stops — so you’re left standing there waiting 🤷‍♂️😢 In the second bedroom there was only an electric heater. We had to place it right next to the bed just to feel a bit warmer, but you can imagine how much it dries out the air — it didn’t feel very comfortable or healthy. Overall, the house had everything we needed and in that regard everything was great.

Cons: I didn’t like the heating system and the uneven water distribution. It was very inconvenient and made our stay less comfortable.

The best stay in Madeira

Pros: The best place I have ever stayed at. Very good location (if you have a car), the place is spacious, comfortable, super well equipped and just a pleasure to stay at. I wish I stayed there more than just 2 nights!

Pros: Silent place, great view, stylish accomodation, great anemnities, feel lik at home

Pros: This large house is in the most wonderful rural location. So relaxing with everything we needed.

Pros: Quiet area with a nice view Enough cooking facilities Allthough the stairs, bed and the floor are made of wood, nothing creeaks. The place was well cleaned which is much appreciated. The road towards the house is of good quality if you do not adventure. Easy access

Cons: The water pressure is quite weak if both showers are running at the same time. If both showers are not running at the same time it is fine. Sometimes inside the house gets hummid. The rooms could feel a little bit darker than what we are used to. Other: the location can be far away from main attracrion, but this was not a problem for us.

Pros: We liked the location a lot , although some people may find it too remote. No shop or a restaurant within a walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cons: The bed in the none en-suit room is quite noisy.

Pros: Beautiful and big house with all you need. Quiet and still easy to find. Clean and comfortable.

Great location, spacious and good value for money.

Pros: The location was beautiful, you were surrounded by mountains with stunning views. It was also very peaceful. The house itself was very spacious and quite high spec, though a little dated, but this was reflected in the price, giving good value for money. Laura was very responsive and generous in leaving gifts (bottles of wine, olives, cakes, biscuits).

Cons: The hot water upstairs was a little on and off at times, you had to be very quick in the shower before it went cold. The house had been cleaned, but perhaps not too thoroughly, as we had to bang out the rugs and noted that the kitchen worktop underneath a worktop cooker was grubby.
