A Mountain Oasis in Madeira

Pros: The rooftop patio is such a highlight of this accommodation. The views from there are really breathtaking. The whole place was great though. Super clean. Very comfy bed (hotel quality). And a really well equipped kitchen (to the point where you could probably comfortably host a dinner party). Parking was super easy (just on the side of the road - but meant no squeezing into tight or awkward spots, which can be common in Madeira). It's a bit of a climb to the accommodation from the parking, but it's nothing major - just something to consider if you have trouble with stairs. Arminda met me to show me around and give me the keys. She was so lovely and welcoming. She even left a gift of Madeiran wine, cake, and some cookies. There was also a full sleeve of coffee capsules for the coffee maker. The location is a tiny bit remote, but not a far drive to anything. I would absolutely stay here again if I return to Madeira.

Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.

Pros: Fully equipped house with various facilities. Feels like home! Great view from the balcony.

Pros: Amazing apartment that has absolutely everything that you need and more, peace included. Fully equipped (even coffee, some basic cooking supplies, washing detergent etc.) and spacious, with extremely comfortable bedsheets. Of course the terrace is the star of the show offering magnificient views no matter the weather conditions. (We come from the Balkans) so it was a great spot to overlook the road when the local traditions took place haha. It is located away from the \

Wonderful stay

Pros: Amazing location, high in a valley in green paradise. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Big terrace. Go and visit lovely Lucia in the local store! Host Arminda was great, she got our trip off to a fantastic start.

Cons: If we were being mega picky, we would say it'd be good to put some tiles down on the terrace, but that's just because we practice yoga and don't like the feeling of stretching on concrete!.

Pros: Wir waren als Paar Ende November 2025 dort zu Gast.Hier wohnt man auf der Nordseite der Insel, sodass es grundsätzlich etwas kühler ist. Wer Wärme sucht, fährt einfach auf die Sonnenseite. Gäste bekommen einen Eindruck, wie das Leben für Einheimische auf der Insel wirklich ist, denn die Wohnung liegt direkt am Steilhang zwischen eigenen Gärten mit einer unglaublichen Pflanzenvielfalt. Am liebsten hätte ich das Erntekörbchen mitgenommen. Wichtig zu wissen: das Auto kann ganz unkompliziert am Straßenrand geparkt werden. Von dort geht man über viele Stufen (ca. 90) vorbei an anderen Häusern hoch zur Unterkunft mit Dachterrasse und herrlichem Blick durchs Tal. Wegen Regenwetter konnten wir die Wanderwege in der Umgebung nicht erkunden. Wir sind dann immer auf die Sonnenseite gefahren.

Pros: Czyste miejsce z przepięknym widokiem. Fantastyczni właściciele, na przywitanie mieliśmy mały poczęstunek. Bardzo dobra jakość w stosunku do ceny.

Cons: Jedyny minus to przeciekające okna podczas mocnych opadów deszczu, ale akurat trafiliśmy na załamanie pogodowe, zapewne przy normalnym deszczu nie ma takiego problemu.

Clean modern friendly helpful hosts

Pros: The location is perfect if you want to be able to hike minutes from the house There are several choices from the pr2( very steep)to a Levada trail as well as many other trails The house is a beautiful design for 2 people Ample space great shower and a deck space that will make you remember the views forever

Pros: Alles! Schöne Küche, Waschmaschine, Kühlschrank und eine tolle Dachterasse mit unglaublicher Aussicht. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und flexibel und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist unschlagbar. Sehr empfehlenswert!
