Charming Apartments in Funchal - São Gonçalo

Excellent

Pros: Amazing view of Funchal and sea from the balcony , very big spacious apartment, well equipped.

Cons: Some construction work going on to the building next door, but not at night times , and it didn’t spoil my stay here.

Great apartment with beautiful seaview

Pros: Beautiful seaview from top floor. Peaceful surroundings. Very spacey apartment, enough room for a big family. 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, giant livingroom and two balconies.

Cons: About 30 minutes walk from Funchal center but you can definetly take a bus or a taxi. Not easy to park your car in the garden but you can leave it on the street.

Lovely, spacious apartment. Enjoyed our stay.

Pros: View from terrace was beautiful. Excellent if you have a hire car. Parking right in front of apartment and easy access to roads to get around island. Shops not too far away. Lovely big apartment with everything needed for our stay. Comfy bed and good shower pressure too. Lovely garden area too. Enjoyed our stay here.

Cons: Work going on across the street on house. They only worked during working hours though, so didn't really affect us.

Room with a view

Pros: Large ground floor apartment in a residential area. Huge rooms. Comfy bed. Well stocked kitchen Fab views from the front patio of the cruise ships and Funchal. 5 min walk up to great restaurant/bar, shop and buses into Funchal.

Clean, spacious, perfect for a family stay!

Pros: The apartment was super clean and very spacious! It has everything you need and would be perfect for a family stay.

Cons: It’s a little far from Funchal Centre so if you are not driving, you would need to rely on taxis in and out. However, I think the price definitely reflects that!

Pros: The amazing view, the spacious apartment, we rented a car and had no issue to park there , so close to Funchal but yet far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet

Cons: Not much I couldn't like...just had one issue with the shower and the sink handle that broke but quick response from the owner and got fixed the same morning

Pros: Amazing view, absolute silence in the neighborhood, sitting areas on both sides of the house, grilling area, huge apartment. We really appreciated the possibility to use the washing machine for free, even the gel was provided. Two places to hang the clothes outside, one of them under the roof so even the rain was not a problem.

Cons: The beds were quite small, about 140 - 160 cm. But comfy anyway 😊

Pros: View over Funchal was superb. Nice seating area. Apartment spotlessly clean. Huge rooms. Easy check in. Nice of Tony..the owner to give gifts..avocados etc out of his garden.

Cons: No clean towels for 10 days. Only 1 bath sheet and 1 hand towel each also one tea towel. Ended up washing them ourselves. Although we messaged 4 times no response...the property manager told me after I saw him in person (when he came to change the gas) his friend didn't pass the messages on...NOT good enough. Was told in beginning to message if we needed anything...Good job I telephoned for new gas bottle.

Pros: Quiet and beautiful location, but still close to everything.
