Perfect for a few days' stay, lots of greenery, peace and quiet

Pros: - House located in a secluded spot - Beautiful surroundings - Peace and quiet - Lots of greenery, large grounds surrounding the house - Self-check-in available, house keys are in a locker - Accessible by car, parking right in front of the door - Good contact with the host via Booking

Cons: - The bathroom door is incomplete, which provides little privacy, especially in such a small house - Poor lighting in the bathroom

Pros: Lovely little house, good location and private everything as it should be.

Cons: Cupboards need a clean out. Bit of a stale smell from them, but that's the only small issue

Stunning setting

Pros: Beautiful setting in a lovely garden in a small town. Easy to access supermarket, coffee shop and walks without the car. The Firecrests in the garden (see photo). BBQ as well as stove top inside. Great shower with very hot water. Comfortable. Easy to find and park. Early check-in.

Cons: A coffee maker with pods and not sufficient pods for every day to have coffee. I prefer a simple coffee maker that uses ground coffee.

Very cosy country house.

Pros: Very nice scenary and very cosy country house. Smooth check in with keys provided in a coded lockbox .

Cons: The common areas and WC area are only separated by a half door instead of full door for privacy.

Pros: Palheiro do Avo has been the ideal accommodation for our week in Madeira. Far from the chaotic Funchal and very close to the airport. The cosy studio had everything we needed and we were totally independent. Patricia and the cleaning staff have been so kind and helpful. Strongly recommended. On a side note beware that to reach the house you need a means of transport as it’s located uphill.

I definitely recommend renting this house, the views and comfort are top notch

Pros: A great place to live, convenient location, friendly owners of the house. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, coffee, tea, dishes, towels. You can see rabbits in the yard😍

Cons: I would like to have a door to the bathroom that closes completely so as not to hear extra sounds😅
