Lameiros Cottage

Pros: Great location with fantastic views. Well equipped home

Cons: Nothing, everything was as expected

Perfect

Pros: Amazing views, quiet and calm area, we had everything we needed.

Pros: Friendly host, nice and cozy house, beautiful nature around

Lovely owner, very quiet location with amazing views of the whole valley.

Pros: Beautiful location surrounded by mountains and birds. A totally relaxed, private stand alone house as described. The owner has a restaurant in the village itself. Well worth a visit and don't miss the church directly opposite in the town square. See photos. There was a relatively level local walk of around 6km return which was easily accessible from the cottage. You could easily base yourself here and explore the whole island, as the link road to Funchal is relatively flat and safe and cuts through the mountains rather than driving over them.

Cons: Due to still conditions and burning off by other residents in the valley, the air quality could be of concern for people with asthma. This would also apply for many other Madeira locations however. Rooms upstairs (bedrooms) could get hot after a warm day but once we realised that there were no insects to worry about due to the numerous birds, we just left the upstairs windows open until dusk. Don't hire a manual car in Madeira, the hilly location and roads make it challenging enough without doing hill starts.

Pros: Setting with views of the mountains around. Comfortable well equipped house. Good outdoor space for breakfast/coffee/wine/reading well equipped with outdoor furniture. Friendly welcome by the owner who was very helpful. The nearby small town of Sao Vicente is pleasant and has a reasonably good small supermarket. Location good for all the north coast of Madeira which is much less crowded than places nearer Funchal.

Cons: The access road is very steep but ok to drive if you don't meet an oncoming vehicle (which we didn't in three weeks). Google nav tells you that you're there a few hundred metres too soon; owner will give you guidance by phone (excellent English).

Vistes inmillorables, lloc preciós on pots desconectr rodejat de naturalesa

Pros: L’ubicació en un entorn natural i unes vistes espectaculars

Cons: El lavabo abaix

Cottage encantador

Pros: Duży funkcjonalny dom z klimatycznym (typowym dla okolicy) ogrodem i... kurami ;-) Położony wysoko w górach stąd niesamowity widok. Spokojna część wyspy, dobra baza do wycieczek samochodem. Rankiem obudzi cię wspaniały śpiew ptaków. Sympatyczny i bardzo pomocny gospodarz.

Pobyt jak najbardziej udany :)

Pros: Piękna okolica, bardzo miły właściciel. :) wyposażenie pełne, jednak mogłoby być bardziej przytulnie. :) mimo to cichutko i pięknie wokół a to wszystko wynagradza. :) cudownie jest być w domku w takim otoczeniu. W pobliżu Levada pr16, którą polecam zaliczyć jeśli ktoś jest na miejscu 🤗
