Literally, feels like owning a small dacha on the island

Pros: Good and relatively cheap restaurants nearby, supermarket just in 5 minutes by foot. Not a district with tourists. A good opportunity to see mostly local people around and enjoy authentic neighborhood. Amazing views both from the outside and from the windows. The place is easily reachable by car. The atmosphere was extremely friendly.

Cons: I find the boiler in a bathroom a bit small. It was barely enough hot water for one person. Probably, I used more hot water during colder end-November nights.

Lovely guesthouse in Funchal

Pros: It is a very comfortable studio. The bed is nice. The bathroom is small but has everything you need. Elisabete and Jose are very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful place, amazing hosts.

Pros: It was our first place at Madeira island and it turned out to also be our favorite stay. The hosts Jose and Elisabete made us feel like home during the 3 nights we spent at their place. They gave us a lot of useful information on travelling around the island and were there for us for anything we needed. They are really nice hosts and above all wonderful people, so if you're looking for local home rather than just a hotel, this is the place you want to stay at. Their little apartment has everything you need and the views of Funchal from their terrace are beautiful. If we get a chance to travel back, we'll definitely contact them again.

Cons: Nothing we could complain about.

Pros: An excellent choice for for a family of two people. The room is very clean and comfortable, we were here, as in our house.Also, there are two cute cats and a dog in the yard, I recommend all animal lovers. I especially liked the terrace where you can sit and see the sunrise and sunset.photo of the terrace is attached. The hotel hosts are very kind-hearted people. We liked them very much. Highly recommended!

Perfect first night in Funchal after a flight

Pros: Very nice family renting the place. Taking time for details and showing us everything. Nice view from the room and also from the terrace you can use. Space to park is near by.
