Pico Paraiso Madeira

Simply unique

Pros: Pico Paraiso truly is the right name for this little Heaven on earth. The place is simply beautiful, intimate, and surrounded by a surreal atmosphere that brings you into the deepest relaxation. It really felt like home. What made it even more special was the wonderful Host, Sylvia. She is the kindest people I have ever met while traveling. Always sweet, available, and caring – like a mom away from home. Thanks to her, I had a truly unique and unforgettable experience. I strongly recommend this lovely place to everyone: not only to discover the beauty of the island, but also to enjoy such a welcoming stay with an extraordinary host. P.S. About the stairs: they are not that bad! I counted them myself – less than 250, I swear ((:

Pico Paradiso !

Pros: L'emplacement, le jardin, le confort de la chambre, la vue, tout est parfait chez Silvia, mais ce qui est encore mieux que tout, c'est l'accueil de Silvia ! Ce séjour était un vrai moment de bonheur, merci Silvia !

Cons: Je n'ai pas apprécié de devoir quitter cet éden aussi vite !

Pros: Silvia's hospitality raised our stay to the next level. She was very open-minded, offered fruits and eggs from her garden an even helped to solve problem what to do with our tent before leaving Madeira. The Pico Paraiso truly stand for its name, in this paradise we found 4 cats, lots of greenery, ocean view and so much more. I recommend this place for everyone who is nature-lover and enjoys silence and peace. The bed was really comfortable as well as the small outdoor kitchen. There was everything you might need, small details were taken into account.

Cons: This is not the bad thing, but you need to go for 5 minutes up the hill to reach the place, for people with reduced mobility this could be a problem. Those who only love tamed-city nature, might find Pico Paraiso little bit chaotic, but be sure that Nature has its own order.

Pros: Merci Sylvia pour ton accueil chaleureux. Le logement est un véritable havre de paix en pleine nature. La vue est à couper le souffle. Tout est propre et le lit est très confortable. Merci encore, c’était parfait !

Entspannung pur umgeben von Bananenbäumen

Pros: Mein Aufenthalt bei Sylvia war einfach traumhaft! Vom ersten Moment an habe ich mich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Sylvia ist unglaublich herzlich und gastfreundlich – man spürt sofort, wie viel Liebe sie in ihr Zuhause und in ihre Gäste steckt. Der Garten ist ein absoluter Traum, umgeben von wunderschöner Natur und mit vielen Tieren, gelingt das Entspannen einfach super. Das Zimmer ist gemütlich eingerichtet mit viel Liebe zum Detail und der Blick vom Frühstückstisch einfach nur schön. Ich habe jeden Moment sehr genossen und kann diese Unterkunft nur von Herzen empfehlen. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen! :)

Cons: ...dass ich nur eine Woche gebucht habe ;)

Desconexión a otro nivel

Pros: El nivel de desconexión es superior. Descansar aquí está a otro nivel. Tanto si haces turismo por el día como si haces deporte al llegar a las habitación se descansa muy tranquilo y muy cómodo.

Cons: Estaba todo a mi gusto.

Un piccolo paradiso

Pros: Abbiamo soggiornato qua per l'ultima settimana di agosto, esperienza fantastica, la casa é immersa nella natura, Silvia é super disponibile per qualsiasi richiesta, educata e gentile, persona meravigliosa con cui passare un po' di tempo. I suoi animali ti fanno sentire a casa. Esperienza indimenticabile, l'unica difficoltà sta nel raggiungere la casa, circa 10 minuti di camminata ma è uno sforzo che vale assolutamente la pena.

Pros: Der Aufenthalt war der perfekte Abschluss unserer Madeira Reise. Hat man einmal den Weg zum Haus hoch geschafft, ist man in einem absoluten Paradies mit Hund, Katzen, Hühnern und Gänsen. Sylvia schafft dort einen tollen Ort, mitten in der Natur, in dem man richtig zur Ruhe kommen kann. Durch die Lage kann man Abends, wenn alle Touristen wieder weg sind, einen wunderschönen Teil der Levada Nova entlanglaufen. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen und wohl gefühlt :)

Beautiful and relaxing after the steep hike to this paradise!

Pros: Sylvies property was so beautiful and a very relaxing, in the mountain experience. We stayed for 3 nights and felt like we had everything we needed. Sylvie offered to heat our dinner up in her oven and then provided us with delicious melon for dessert. It is definitely a unique experience and an alternative to staying in a town centre. We initially had issues with communication thru booking.com but sorted that out once we arrived. Great location with easy access to attractions on the island. she has a sweet dog and cats, as well as chicken and geese. Lovely to chat with and relax in her space.

Cons: As other reviews mention, it is a very steep hike up to the accommodation, there is handrails along sections of the path, and it is a mix of small stairs and flat walkway. It took us about 5-7 minutes with small breaks. I found the bathroom a bit smaller than photos show but we had everything we needed and this didn’t limit our experience.

Pros: Prachtige locatie, zeer rustig gelegen. Silvia is een top gastvrouw. Ze is zeer vriendelijk en gaf ons leuke tips om dingen te bezoeken. Ze heeft veel dieren (katten, hondje, kippen, ganzen) die ze supergraag ziet, we kregen dan ook verse eitjes van de kippen en mochten van de bananen eten die er groeiden. We hebben hier een heel gezellige tijd gehad.

Cons: Je moet wel wat omhoog wandelen voor je in het verblijf bent maar dat maakt dan ook weer dat het er heel rustig is. Het was dus wel de moeite waard.
