Village Cabo Girao

Pros: We had a wonderful stay in Cabo Girão. As the days went by, we appreciated more and more the excellent conditions of the resort. The apartment was spacious, beautifully designed with pleasant colors, and very clean. Everything was well organized, and the entire property is carefully maintained. I met a woman who has been working in housekeeping here for 20 years — which says a lot about the positive and pleasant atmosphere of the place. The front desk staff were kind, professional, and responsive. The on-site grocery shop was convenient for daily needs. The pool and the various recreational areas around the resort were enjoyable and well kept. A few days after leaving, we realized we had forgotten a package in the apartment. The staff found it and immediately informed us by email. We returned to collect it without any problem. Truly a place to rest both body and soul. Highly recommended.

Pros: Great location, tennis court, very friendly and responsive staff.

Cons: It was defined that the room would be clean every 2 days. At the same time during our visit for 5 nights the room was cleaned only 1 time. So during the last 3 days the room was not cleaned.

Pros: Private pool by our villa, as three other pools. Games area. Location was good and our villa was very spacious.

Cons: saunas aged a bit and some showers within the spa could do with updating. not a complain just an observation really.

Great place, will come again!

Pros: Great apartment with good rooms and lovely view. The breakfasts were fantastic and the facilities, particularly the multiple games rooms (including full size snooker table) and the swimming pool were top class.

Cons: The kitchen utensils could have been better (15 cm frying pan!?)

Stunning location, great village complex

Pros: Excellent location, with great facilities for a peaceful relaxing holiday. Outside and inside pools with sun loungers to relax, bar and restaurant with basic tasty menus but great value, and even a mini supermarket with basic supplies. Shuttle bus also available in the mornings to the local village Camara de Lobos and to Funchal. Bus tours organised which are very personal as it is in a mini bus and the guide is very informative. The scenery is fabulous and the famous lookout only 5 mins walk UP hill !!!! The apartment is spacious and very clean and has great views from the balcony, the kitchen is well equipped and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Cons: A bit far from the local village if you want to visit, but taxis are available at request at the reception. Some planning needed if you are to use the local buses.

Pros: Cosy place with lots of free time utilities. We loved it here.

Pros: Lovely, comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting with fantastic views. Facilities are good, lots to do on site, and walks starting on the doorstep. Relaxed dining or courtesy transport arranged for local restaurants The perfect base to explore the island or just rest and relax.

Pros: Beautiful balconies and view. Loved pool with bar with very good sangria, beer, tasty food. The restaurant is very nice too. Stuff is very friendly and responsive. Rooms are large, bright, and comfortable with everything you need in the kitchen. Also they have a small market in the main building with some food, water, drinks, sunscreens etc. Advise: rent a good car with a strong engine, very stip roads. I would definitely recommend this place.
