Nice affordable stay
Pros: Kitchen was pretty well equipped, very nice balcony. Very nice supermarket just across the road, a few good restaurants also close by. Beach also relatively close by. Parking was easy but there was a bus stop right ion front of the building as well.
Cons: Noise from hallway sometimes but I wear earplugs anyway so didnt really bother me.

A lovely apartment with all you need
Pros: The apartment had absolutely everything you need for self catering. Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels. Washing machine facilities. More importantly unbelievable sea views. Very spacious self contained apartment. Additional extras available were shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, cleaning products, tennis rackets, snorkeling fins, books, brochures, bottle openers, salt / pepper, sandwich wrapping, spare shopping bags.... you name it, it was present. Bars restaurants and shopping near bar. An unbelievable pastry place around the corner. Also traditional sea food restaurant. Walking distance to Funchal. About 40 minutes of stunning views and nice places to take a break along the way.
Cons: We couldn't locate the swimming pool from the description provided or from photos. We could have enquired but we were too busy enjoying maderia to waste time by the pool.

Pros: Compact, bright one-room apartment with a nice ocean-view from the balcony. Very convenient as a base - though it is relatively far from the center (1 hour by foot, the bus takes about 20 minutes), it is close to the beach and the city-exit. There is a large shop opposite and a bus stop next to the house. To sum up, a great place for a base. We were a bit worried about the soft bed, because people write about it in the comments, but in the end we slept really well on it (and we are used to a harder mattress). The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, and even more.
Cons: There were construction works taking place outside during weekdays, which was a bit loud. Fortunately it concerned only a part of our stay, as we were there from friday to tuesday.

Overall great experience, would like to come back or recommend!
Pros: Great location! Beach near by, despite steep way to it. Great groceries shop and pharmacy across the street. Bus station in front of drive way. Parking places in backyard of apartment. Great swimming pool although was not alight in dark hours. Still possible for swim though. Quite nice view to ocean from balcony/window. Easy to access - just 2nds floor by stairs.
Cons: Check in was described quite well but still was a small misunderstanding where key box is located. Tried next door key box first :D . Must be cautious from cockroaches we found by swimming pool (dark time) and also while chilling in beach (dark time). There was some construction works outside during our stay so was a bit noisy around 8AM in the morning.

Wonderful Madera
Pros: A wonderful stay in the BINIS apartment. The owner took care of everything. Regular contact, plus necessary advice. Clean apartment, stunning views from the balcony, especially sunsets. All necessary things as described on the website. The bed was very wide and comfortable. There is a bus stop right next to the building to the airport and the city center. Next to it there is a large grocery store, where you can also drink coffee, fresh orange juice, various sandwiches and cakes. We will definitely come back here.

Pros: Beautiful apartment, very clean and equiped with everything you need. The bus station is next to it so you can go very quick to the city center. Location is good, there is a supermarket and a lot of good restaurants near by. The owner is very nice, she kept in touch with us and was very helpful, I forgot one of my earings when I left and she announced me immediately and send it to my country which I highly appreciate it.
