Super cozy and nice

Pros: Apartment No5 was amazing. Plenty of windows facing street, perfectly located, good wifi, a lot of utensils to cook, warm water. I was more than happy!

Cons: It was a bit fresh at night, no AC.

Worth it

Pros: Right in the centre, daily cleaned and sheet changed, quiet.

Pros: The location is great, near restaurants, cafés and the ocean. It was nice to have a kitchenette with fridge so that we could have some meals in the apartment.

Cons: An idea: remove the door bells as people accidentally push them when they are looking for the light switch in the dark. And also maybe put some noise reduction under the chairs as sounds are heard easily between the apartments

Amazing

Pros: Location and access to it were great. It had all the facilities and was clean

Cons: The fridge was very old so it made a lot of noise and would heat the kitchen part.

Pros: Everything was great! A great location, price, simple rooms but you get everything you need there. So many restaurants and bars around. Suggested parking was great too.

Reasonably priced in a great location.

Pros: Central location in the heart if the old town. Remote arrangements with owners went well for access or queries. Comfortable, if a bit dated but on holiday, you don't want to spend much time in the apartment anyway, so not really a problem.

Cons: We tend to rent apartments to have greater autonomy than in a hotel. Cleaners are scheduled every day, starting at 10am. If you're not an early riser and more of a night owl, this can be a nuisance, having to be up and ready in case the cleaners descend on you. Having said that, although we were always ready by 10, we didn't rush out and the cleaners didn't disturb us. For ease of mind, a DND sign would be useful for later days so that you aren't constantly worrying they're about to walk in on you, or perhaps start them later in the afternoon. They only emptied the tissue bucket anyway (no flushing of loo paper allowed in the premises) so starting later shouldn't be a problem.

Pros: The location is excellent – within walking distance of the Old Town, a grocery store, the ocean, and plenty of restaurants and bars. The apartment was clean, well-prepared, and cozy. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything I needed, which made the stay even more comfortable. I especially liked the balcony – a great spot to relax.

Cons: Right from the start, communication was poor. I had to message twice just to request the check-in code, which I didn’t even receive on time – it was finally sent after I had already landed. Arriving at 1 AM without an access code is absolutely unacceptable. Meanwhile, I got several reminders about when I needed to check out – clearly, that was their priority. The room itself didn’t live up to expectations either – no shampoo in the bathroom, main light was extremely dim, very noisy in the mornings from the bars/restaurants below, and the “double” bed was smaller than expected.

Overall though I would recommend for a good value accomodation in a great location of Funchal

Pros: Good location, reasonably ok cooking facilities. Price was very good. Apartment serviced on weekdays.

Cons: There was no aircon only a noisy desk fan. Small window looking out at windows of the rear apartments. I would have liked more natural light coming into the apartment.
