Convenient and comfortable

Pros: Location, comfort & ambience. Shower amongst the best ever.

Cons: If I have to be fussy, lack of privacy at handbasin, occasional noise on stairs.

Great stay in a super location

Pros: The location is excellent, super close to the marina area, beach and public transport system and was a great base for a busy holiday of activities. The apartment was perfect for my needs and having the balcony was a bonus. Sofia is absolutely lovely, so helpful and welcoming and happy to give suggestions of places to dine. Honestly would book here again if I ever come back.

Cons: Nothing to really not like. It's a central location, so if you are wanting somewhere quiet then this probably isn't the choice for you... however I wasn't bothered by this.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at this flat in Funchal and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The location was perfect — close to everything yet peaceful enough to truly unwind. What made our stay truly unforgettable was the host’s incredible kindness and attention to detail. We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, and she surprised us with a beautiful box of craft chocolate from Madeira. Such a thoughtful gesture made us feel genuinely welcomed and made the occasion even more special. Highly recommended — we would happily stay here again!

Perfect two person accommodation with balcony close to old town and sea front

Pros: Bright, very clean apartment in a perfect location - five minutes to the sea front and bus stops, just a few minutes one way to the old town, and a few minutes the other way to the cathedral area. Balcony large enough to sit out on for morning coffee and evening drinks. Some good local bars and restaurants close by too. Has everything you need for two people. We hope to return.

Cons: This is on the top floor - you expect this if you want a great balcony, but it does mean you have stairs to walk up. We didn't mind but worth noting there's no lift!

Pros: Lovely apartment in great location. Close to the centre and had everything we needed. Sofia was very helpful and responsive. We particularly enjoyed having the balcony for breakfast.

Perfectly located apartment for a wonderful stay in Madeira

Pros: The host was extremely attentive and communicative throughout my stay, welcoming me on arrival and providing extra supplies when needed which was really kind and helpful. The location is perfect in the centre of Funchal in short walking distance of restaurants, the market, the sea front, bus stops and supermarkets. It was also an ideal pick up spot for the tours I booked. The shower and air conditioning were powerful, and the bed and sofa were comfortable. The room was clean and the building was quiet. There were power sockets by the bed and table, and the kitchen was fully equipped. This property was extremely good value for money and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, it is perfect for a week in Madeira.

A great apartment in a fantastic location in Old Funchal.

Pros: I would recommend staying here whilst you are in Funchal. The apartment has everything you need, is clean and is in a fantastic location. I would recommend paying a little more and choosing the one with the superb balcony overlooking the street. Do visit the Italian opposite and Olivia restaurant, the food is fab!

Cons: The sink is a little small in the bathroom area and the shower doesn’t drain well so you have to reduce the pressure on the shower so the water doesn’t flood the apartment. The water is boiling hot so take care not to burn yourself when using the two sinks.

Easy, central, and cosy

Pros: Perfect location for exploring old town and getting picked up for tours/ ferry's

Cons: It wears very quiet if you closed the windows, you wouldn't realise you were in such a central location.

A lovely place in an excellent location provided a quiet, comfortable and convenient holiday base.

Pros: Great communication from owner about lock box and how to access and enter. The apartment was very clean. Very well equipped. The location is superb. The balcony is an added benefit. Kitchen is compact but has everything you would need for a short stay.

Cons: Everything was very good but some instructions about rubbish and recycling would have been useful.
