Le Vingale

Great week in Madeira!

Pros: Le Vingale is perfectly located in the heart of Funchal. Everything is within walking distance. It’s close to the local market, the ocean, and plenty of shops. Great restaurants are right nearby. The bus station is just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the island. During Carnival, you are right in the middle of the atmosphere and celebrations. The location is truly unbeatable. Central, convenient, and vibrant — yet comfortable for a relaxing stay.

Cons: ~

Very pleasant stay, excellent location

Pros: The location is excellent, it’s a few meters from a lovely square where you can eat and drink coffee. Close to everything and though it’s in the center, it is very quiet during the night, so we could sleep very well. The rum and the bed is big and comfortable. Good and fast communication with the host.

Cons: It definitely needs improvement with the cleaning!!! A coffee machine would have been nice. The last day we received a message from the host that we had to pay a turist fee but we had already paid it through booking. So when we replied back and informed about it, they said we could ignore it and that we didn’t have to pay extra. So be careful, so that you won’t pay extra.

Great apartment in the heart of Funchal.

Pros: The location is the thing that makes this property so good. So central for everything. Instructions to get in very clear. Very clean and well equipped.

Cons: The bed was quite hard and the pillows not very comfortable.

Pros: Everything was very good. Location in the city center. Very welcoming host. I highly recommend.

Perfect Stay

Pros: Perfect location, very central. Minutes from anywhere we wished to walk to. Lovely clean apartment. Highly recommend would return to Le Vingale next time we are in Funchal.

Beautiful Studio in the center of Funchal

Pros: Excellent location of Funchal, excellent studio facilities.

Cons: The third bed, which is a pull-out bed, is unsuitable i this small space.

Pros: Localization, the host who was always responsive and available. Clear instructions to get inside, spacious bathroom and a big wardrobe. The stay was great, if I am in Funchal again, I will choose Vingale. Thank you Maxime!

Cons: Wifi was a little bit poor, only one person managed to connect but we are from EU so it wasn't a problem. A squeaking bed, but I guess it is easy to fix. Basically, those to things are hard to notice when you are busy exploring the island.

Pros: Apartament is great. Very modern , comfortable and there is everything you need . Nice localization

Cons: Contact with the personel. It was weird ,on the last day I received message that we have to pay (again) city tax and leave money inside of apartment or make a bank transfer and when I said I alredy paid because it was included in our reservation by booking.com she just said no worries. It was weird...

Amazing I wish I could’ve stayed forever.

Pros: Amazing decor, great location, clean, bright and airy. Had kitchenette utensils

Cons: No hand rail or any support in shower, caused me to fall as was really slippery the flooring.

A simple and budget friendly accom, with top location

Pros: The location is fantastic and the view from the window is wonderful. Kitchenette is a great addition and the entry system felt safe. The building itself was fairly quiet and towels were provided. AC is good. Communication with the booking agent was great. Entry was easy. I would use this property again - a lovely stay.

Cons: When I arrived, I sent photos to the agent as there was damage to the walls / surfaces in the property and I wanted to reassure them it wasn’t me. They responded quickly and sent someone to fix parts of it which was great service. The towels were clean, but discoloured in parts. This was a simple and budget friendly option for a solo traveler.
