Great Flats but terrible noise problem during the early hours

Pros: Flats are perfect - contemporary design, equipped with everything we could possibly need, except an ice cube tray ! Super Bosch appliances. Ideal location in the Old Town and short walk to the Sea Front

Cons: There was one massive noise problem which means we will not use these flats again. It is outside the control of the owners FeelslikeHome which is why we couldn't mark the accommodation down. Being in the City Centre there is some urban noise as one would expect and it adds to the experience of staying in the flats. However outside the flats is a public courtyard where people congregate at the 100 Montaditos fast food chain because we were told the beer is cheapest there. It is quite noisy until the place closes at midnight, but that's when the real problem starts. A large group start a party. They bring a very loud sound system and cool boxes full of beer. Apart from the deafening music there was much shouting and screaming which went on until 3:30am. Our bedroom was at the back of the building and even with the doors shut we were unable to sleep for the noise. This happened consecutively for the first 4 nights of our stay Thursday-Sunday. We bought earplugs which didn't help and started to suffer from sleep deprivation which began to ruin our holiday. I spoke to the Concierge on Monday. They were aware of the problem but said nothing could be done as it was a public space. I suggested complaining to the Police as there was supposed to be a quiet period between 11pm-7am. The Concierge said the Police would do nothing and didn't comment on whether they'd been contacted. I can't believe this would be tolerated say in the grounds outside the up market Santa Maria hotel further up the road. Fortunately the noise subsided Monday-Thursday but the partying returned on the Friday before we left for home. Such a shame because otherwise we would not hesitate to stay at these flats again or give them a 100% recommendation

Pros: The apartment was very nice and had all the amenities that you need. Marianna was very kind and helpful! The location was amazing. We had a pleasant stay! We definitely recommend it!

Perfect location, good price value

Pros: The location is perfect, and the apartment, rooms, and kitchen are spacious with a nice design. João was very kind and helpful with both check-in and check-out.

Cons: The bathroom needs some maintenance; it was a bit moldy, and the extractor fan didn’t work. One of the drawers was broken. The neighboring restaurant’s ventilation leads to the roof terrace, which smelled like food. The Wi-Fi wasn't great.

Good location

Pros: Location is right in the city center, beautiful new apartment.

Cons: Bed and the sofa could be more comfortable but it was okay for a few day stay

An ideal place for discovering Funchal especially some very good restaurants.

Pros: The location was very central being close to easy parking, the bus station, the sea and some very good restaurants.The balcony was really lovely too.

Cons: Sometimes a little noisy because of the bar outside and problems with very slow drainage from the shower. At times smelt damp.

Perfect location. Spacious apartment. Lots of bars and retaurants within a few minutes walk.

Pros: Perfect location, adjacent to the old town and near shops, the market, cable car station, bars and restaurants. Have stayed in other city centre locations before and found them to be noisy but the double-glazing on this apartment was very effective in shutting out the inevitable noise of a location in a bar/restaurants area.

Cons: The sink plug holes and shower drainage had an unpleasant smell some days. The bed mattress was not the most comfortable and could do with an upgrade.

Pros: Hello, I really love this appt. I felt really at home. Everything was arranged for comfortable stay, eg comfortable bed, clean towels, kitchen set to clean dishes and even laundry pads. The location is absolutely superb on, 2 min to port, teleferico, pingo doce, aeroporto bus and etc.

Cons: If you are a dog lover probably its not your place. The neighbours left small puppy outside at the backyard alone at the night. Its really cold and scary for this small creature. I even called police to help him but they told me that is the tradition to keep dogs outside. I checked it and its not true, its illegal. and now i try to ask help for animal protection organization. Its not the issue to this appt, the staff are superb and they do their best. Its just me, i cant just left this small puppy alone.

Loved every pat of it!

Pros: The location is located in the old city center, so it’s perfect if you plan to spend the nights around. The apartament’s design is really cool and cozy, and it has plenty of facilities such a washing machine, dish washer, a very big terrace.

Gem in the heart of Funchal

Pros: Photos don't do this apartment justice. Modern, clean, excellent communication and easy access to everywhere in Madeira with 24 hour parking nearby so great for when we had to leave at 3.to catch a flight!

Cons: Only 3 of us, one of us slept on the sofa bed and the mattress was incredibly thin and not very comfortable; would suggest this is replaced but overall a very very good stay in a great location and I would definitely come again.as the main bedroom bed was super comfy!
