Penthouse Formosa Sunset and Beach

Pros: Clean and spacious apartement with really nice ocean views. Hosts are very friendly and respond quickly. The location is very good, especially if you rent a car and want to explore the island on your own. There are several grocery stores & restauraunts nearby. including one big shopping mall. Funchal center is about 50 min walking or 10 min taxi ride away. We were allowed to use small dedicated parking slot in the garage under the apartement building for our rental car and this was very convenient. Note that fitting something bigger than VW Polo in that slot is not for beginner drivers :) All in all - we had very nice stay and I would happily book this place again.

Lovely hosts and even better apartment

Pros: The owners made the whole trip very straightforward. Clear instructions were provided to access the property and car park and communication was very easy and prompt. The apartment itself was more spacious I had anticipated and was overall a lovely space to stay. You can sit out on the roof or enjoy the several balconies. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We hired a car and provided you choose a smaller vehicle the underground parking is ideal and convenient. We also watched the stunning fireworks on the roof on New Year's Eve. Temperature was lovely even at this time of year.

Pros: It was an excellent facility and location. In addition, the guidance provided by the staff was very clear and appropriate.

Amazing stay just outside Funchal

Pros: We LOVED everything about this place. If i could give it 11 i would. The view from the balcony was spectacular, rooms were super comfortable and there was not a single thing we needed that would be missing. And the beds are so comfy I want yo buy similar one home. Location is also perfect, you can walk to Funchal in just about one hour or you can take bus that goes directly to the town.

Cons: There is nothing I didn’t like

Pros: The location was very very nice. We used the several different terraces the house has. From most of them you have nice ocean views. We could use the parking garage underneath the building, which was very convenient. From the location you are by foot at the Lido within minutes, or by walking though the spectacular tunnel you are at the beach in minutes. A small supermarket is in the same building and the bigger one is at a 5 minutes walk. This is within a huge shopping center. The appartment was very spacious and well equipped

Cons: We are dutch people and a bit taller than average; since the appartment is at the top floor, it has sloping walls all around, so sometimes the space in e.g. the kitchen and the bathrooms was a bit unconvenient, but not a big problem.

Wonderful stay in Penthouse Formosa

Pros: We love mostly everything during our stay in Madeira. The apparent was spacious, stylish and clean. The explanation how to get to the apartment, where to find parking etc. were very clear. Excellent location, we love walks along the ocean. It was very easy to get to Funchal and back by bus. Short walking distance to a shopping center. Just to mention you will need to go up one flight of stairs from the lift.

Pros: Fabulous sunset from terrace. Great location - easy access to: the beach, walking trail to Camara de Lobos, beautiful way to Funcial center.

Pros: The accommodation is located close to the sea and surrounded by various restaurants as well as a shopping centre.

Cons: I can’t say anything negative.

the apartment was like in a fairy tale, now I want such an apartment for myself

Pros: Hello everyone. I want to tell you about this magnificent apartment. Photos do not convey all the beauty, comfort and convenience of this place. The hostess is very responsive and sweet. We were sent a video on the day of check-in, where it was described in detail and shown how to get into the apartment. we arrived earlier and were allowed to leave our luggage and change clothes. Below I will share photos of this beautiful place, where everything was as in the picture.

Cons: there are no disadvantages
