Atlantic Ocean View Apartment

Great place, in a beautiful Island.

Pros: It was a bit problematic to get the keys the first time, but Paula, our host, was super helpful and it all went smoothly.

Cons: I loved this place, but we were unlucky with the weather; this lovely apartment was then a good place to hang out in.

Comfortable apartment, great location, swimming pool and sunset view

Pros: Very good location, at walking distance to shops (Continente, Forum Madeira shopping mall), a beach (Praia Formosa), caves (Túnel das Poças do Gomes), natural pools (Doca do Cavacas). Comfortable apartment with good amenities (washing machine, dishwasher, huge fridge...) Very nice swimming pool with an amazing view. Enjoy the sunset from the terrace or the swimming pool! There is a reserved parking place in the underground car park, if you don't find a place outside near the entrance. Paula the owner was reactive and her instructions were very clear.

Cons: It can bit tricky to maneuver in the underground car park if you have a big car. The access down to the beach is quick but the path is a bit dull and could maybe look a bit unsafe at night.

Great apartment and facilities

Pros: Lovely apartment with sea views and balconies. Everything you would need and car parking space (small) in the underground car park. The block has a great unheated infinity pool and gym/jacuzzi (not always available). 5 minute walk down long set of steps to the seafront walkway. Nearby was a large supermarket. Paula was very helpful with any questions. Great place to stay.

Cons: It was fine for us but to walk up to the shops or down to the seafront was steep - but that’s Madeira in general!

Definitely recommended

Pros: Paula's place was very cosy and bright, with a great view to the ocean and pool. I was afraid that the opposite building would block the view, but fortunately that was not the case. Nice stroll to the beach via the gate by the pool. The pool was 22 degrees at the end of october, and never busy. Kids loved the pool, the ocean was warmer but the waves were too big for swimming for the most of the time. There was a designated parking place in the garage, but we always managed to park between the two buildings. The apartment, including kitchen, was very well equipped and comfortable for a family of 4. Paula welcomed us on arrival and was always available. Definitely recommended.

Pros: We enjoyed the location, the pool, the overall look of the residence. The apartment is well equipped. The owner was ready to help anytime. The apartment is located in the second building of the residence, the garage too. I hope this helps, because for us the instructions were a bit unclear.

Cons: The dishwasher had a bad smell and didn't look clean. The sofabed was not particularly comfy and was kinda broken at one corner.

Pros: we spent only 2 days in this apartment but highly recommend it to families. Kid friendly, well equipped, good location, very comfortable to stay in with our 9 months old daughter.

Pros: Everything was really great: location, facilities, cleanliness and all day support from the host. Thank you Paula ! It was really important for our family, first time on Madeira!

Comfortable stay despite a couple of disappointments

Pros: The owner of the apartment was available for queries, and she was quick in giving answers and a helping hand. The view, central location for sightseeing, outdoor swimming pool, boulevard for walking, parking space (indoor), close to a supermarket with a drugstore, and the TV has many channels (including English speaking ones).

Cons: The gym (untidy, unorganised, without proper ventilation & some equipments are old) + empty and dirty jacuzzi (next to the pool) + in the instructions received from the owner by WhatsApp upon arrival, nothing was mentioned about the procedure to enter the premises through the front gate by a car (the remote control was lying inside the apartment!) + not easy to find the entrance to the correct garage in the given instructions + NO access to our own Netflix-account on TV (despite communication with the owner well before our departure about our desire to watch Netflix) + NO access to YouTube on TV either. *And on a rainy (very first) night with a wind, the balcony adjoining the living room and the utility room next to the kitchen got flooded(!) 😬😳; during our conversation with the owner the next morning, we received an apology for the inconvenience and disturbances caused. *photos of the flooded two sections of the apartment and also the improved situation thereafter were shared with the owner by me through WhatsApp. The female housekeeper was also physically present the next morning for another matter (coincidence).

Lovely apartment - nicer than my home!

Pros: The apartment was very clean and furnished with high quality items. The host was communicative and helpful. The location is good if you accept you are not in the centre of Funchal.

Cons: No issues or complaints. I would gladly stay again or have stayed longer :)

Cons: If I was being very critical, the walk up to the road was very steep, however it added to our fitness!
