Apartamentos Funchal by Petit Hotels

Lovely place to stay.

Pros: Lovely apartment. Everything you need. Great location

Cons: The digital locks felt very secure but were a bit of a faff. Saves you carrying around a load of keys though

Enjoyable stay in a very comfortable apartment, great location for the most important sights of Funchal.

Pros: Ideally situated for the old town. Quiet location. Very spacious and comfortable beds.

Cons: There was no air con but was aware of this on booking. However a fan was provided.

Nice hotel with an amazing breakfast

Pros: The location is awesome and breakfast soooo goood. The room is also nice.

one of the best places we have ever stayed, and we travel a lot.

Pros: The property is located in the very center of the city, very close to all restaurants and attractions, 5 minutes to a large supermarket. The apartment block is very safe, clean and quiet, which ensures a good night's sleep. On the small balcony you can relax in the evening with a glass of wine in hand or have breakfast prepared with delicious local products from the supermarket. A nice surprise is the cleaning service during your stay, providing fresh towels and giving you the feeling that you are living in a hotel room and not in an apartment block, very good communication with the owner, offering all the help, both in organizing transport to and from the airport and offering help with all the information from the tourist side. And also, if you have to leave your luggage after check-out, there is no problem at all. Very highly recommended, we will definitely come back soon.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: We had a really great time. The appartment is fully equiped and in great location, few minutes walking distance from popular places in Funchal and from the harbor. The host was very helpfull and kind. We received many practical informations about the neighborhood. He helped us to rent a car! We signed the papers on the streat in front of the appartment and few minutes later we had keys. Much easier, faster and without any hidden additional cost! Really great experience.

Cons: The only small thing that I can complain about is the placement of the windows - they were directed at the wall of the building about 2 meters away from the window. So no views 🙂 But this is only small inconvenience comparing to all other advanteges that I mentioned.

All good in general. Perfect spot. Clean.

Pros: All good, perfect location, right in the middle of old town. Just a little flaw or reminder for other guests there was the showering metal bar could be really hot that some of us even got hurt by its high temperature accidentally when showering. Other than that, it’s well worthy for the money!

Great visit to Madeira

Pros: Great location. Very clean. Had everything we needed.

Cons: Very dark with little natural light. Uncomfortable sofa.

I will return here!

Pros: Perfect apartment with a great localisation in a center of Funchal. Owner is very helpful. It’s possible to check in after hours.

One of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we have had as a family - thank you!

Pros: The location was incredible for being able to base ourselves and explore Madeira. The facilities in the apartment were also incredibly useful.

Cons: The only thing we missed was a pool!!

It was a good stay, I’d recommend it.

Pros: I liked the fact that it was central, it was spacious and had a well equipped kitchen.

Cons: The lift didn’t work, they had construction works going on every day, since early in the morning and the lack of the air conditioning.
