Edificio Charles 104

Perfect.

Pros: Best location, great friendly staff and great rooms

Cons: Nothing .

Excellent location and will definitely be back

Pros: Location excellent and walking distance to everything. Absolutely spotlessly clean Cecilia was always so friendly. Everything about our stay here was perfect. Yes there is a bit of noise but that can be expected on a Main Street and all quiet by 11.00pm.

Cons: Everything was perfect

Just what we expected

Pros: Little studio with kitchen, bathroom and beds. The location is very good and you can walk everywhere. The old town has many great restaurants, shopping malls and shopping streets. It is close to the stone beach and close to everything basically. The stay was just what we expected after reading other reviews and seeing pictures of the property. Overall a solid stay.

Cons: The bed was a little bit too stiff for me. Nevertheless I still slept pretty well. If you are a bad sleeper be prepared for noises coming from everywhere. You will hear the people in the streets, next room and from the hallway. Soundproofing could be better (heard people sneezing, coughing and snoring in other room). There was a gap between the floor and the bed so when something rolled under the bed, it got a little bit nasty as cleaning there was needed probably for last couple months. There was not so pleasant smell of the towels, after one use they all smelled like onion/sweat. It is not a problem if you ask for new towels every day.

Pros: Loved the location was ideal and felt very safe as was travelling alone. Great facilities in the kitchen. Loved the large window made the room feel very spacious. All staff were very friendly and felt very safe

Cons: Not the most comfortable bed but everything else was fab

Excellent stay in a lovely little apartment.

Pros: The apartment was very clean and in an excellent location! The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom was lovely.

Cons: The beds were on the hard side and we didn’t have a balcony which was shown in the photos.

Pros: Third time staying - for a reason! I can’t fault this place. Fabulous location, great value, clean and comfortable.

Great location, very clean, friendly staff

Pros: The access is purely through pin codes, both at the entrance to the building and the apartment itself. This was extremely convenient. The location is right in the middle of Funchal. There are a lot of restaurants, shops, etc around. The teleferic station is within a 5-10 min walk.

Cons: The tradeoff for this location is the lack of parking space, but I don't see how this can be improved. If you are looking to rent a car, factor in that you will need to pay for private parking in one of the nearby car parks. For example Almirante Reis Car Park is 15 EUR (price from May 2024) per 24 hrs and is located 10 mins away (walking).

Pros: This is a tidy and well priced hotel in the city centre. It is not extravagant, but was exactly what I was looking for. I can highly recommend this hotel for those looking for similar things.

The accommodation and location very good.

Pros: Location perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: The accommodation has no obvious faults.

Pros: Loved the location and the place. Jose and his colleague (didn't get her name - sorry) were amazing, always smiling and happy to help.
