Center Funchal - Rooms For Rent

Pros: Room was clean and the private bathroom did its job. The location also helped a lot to commute.

Cons: There was no tea in the kitchen. Not a lot of space to each (there is a large room in the common area that could be used for that). Kitchen was not the cleanest.

Cheap & Cheerful

Pros: This place is clean, well organised and bright. It's a shared room in an apartment. You share bathrooms and communal facilities.

Cons: At first, I was somewhat flabbergasted to have to go find a key in a random wall some distance from the property. But, on reflection, it is in fact well executed. Well done Ceasar. It's like going on a treasure hunt - adds to the fun.

great place to stay in city touristic center!

Pros: balcony view was absolutely adorable! the bed was good comfort, no issues, facilities all cleaned well, and of course location - very central and easy get everywhere! though city crowded and noisy at night, the window was very well noise-isolated, almost heard nothing.

Cons: not enough furniture as for us we would add few items, and as well few things on kitchen. all in all well experience for this amount of money

Value for money

Pros: Really nice location, comfortable bed and hot enough for November.

Cons: Not so clean because we found a used napkin under our bed

Pros: We stayed for just one night, but our experience was excellent! The room is in a very spacious apartment, everything was clean, comfortable, and we even had a nice balcony to enjoy. The location is fantastic — very close to a store, the teleférico, and there’s an amazing restaurant right downstairs, which was super convenient. The host was easy to communicate with and made everything simple for us. A great stay, even if short — highly recommended!

Pros: Perfect location in the old town, places for drinks, food and breakfast are nerby.

Cons: No living room, but evidently in progress:)

Pros: Very good localisation almost by the Santa Maria street. Apartment was very big (common space) and the room was good size for the couple. From the window you can see Funchal. Very good price for the localication.

Clean room in central location

Pros: Basic room in central location. The apartment and room was cleaned. Kitchen was available and big, the same the living room (unfortunately unfurnished).

Cons: When we arrived everything was spot on. Unfortunately we shared bathroom with man that left A LOT of hair in the bathroom and shower. It took me ages to clean it more or less to be able to take shower. We could hear party from the streets around.

Great base from which to explore Funchal/Madeira on a budget

Pros: The location is excellent. A few minutes walk, you can reach the sea front promenade, the main bus station, the restaurants of the old town, the market, the supermarket, the town centre. Our room had a private bathroom but the communal bathroom always looked pristine. Large, well equipped communal kitchen always clean. Comfortable bed.

Cons: Our room consisted of a bed, two small bedside tables and fitted cupboards. Whilst the kitchen had a table and some hardbacked chairs, there were no easy chairs to relax in. No TV (if that matters). No furniture on the balcony. For the money and location though, these are minor issues if you just want a base to explore from.
