Funchal Old Town Apartments 2.8

Pros: The Old Town location was perfect for easy access to restaurants and back bars and the buses. It was very clean and comfortable

Cons: The renovation work happening next door meant that we couldn't be in the flat comfortably and certainly not able sit on the roof terrace during their hours of work for 3 days. The neighbours were very noisy at night on several occasions. Unavoidable in an apartment complex I suppose.

Great position in the old town

Pros: Good size and well equipped. Roof terrace overlooking the sea was great.

Cons: A safe

Spotlessly clean spacious apartment with great views.

Pros: The location was very nice, easy to walk to the restaurants and shopping area. We had a lovely sea view and a very nice sun terrace. The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious and well equipped. Communication withe the letting agent was very efficient

Cons: Unfortunately it was extremely noisy until 1am on 3 nights of our stay. We couldn't be certain what time we would arrive at the apartment so ended up waiting half an hour to get the keys although once she arrived the agent was very helpful.

Worth booking this apartment.

Pros: This was a fabulous self-catering appartment that was central to everything in old town Funchal. Lots of amazing restaurants nearby. The appartment itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and more for our stay, even an outdoor terrace and a balcony to sit out on. There was nothing you could fault with the place!

Cons: Absolutely nothing to dislike here.

Perfect in every way.

Pros: The apartment was spacious, well located and lacked nothing for a perfect stay. The views were lovely.

Cons: Nothing.

Great! Except for the hot water issue.

Pros: Excellent apartment in a great location. Close to shops, bars, restaurants, etc. Handy for public transport and the cable car.

Cons: Hot water supply was intermittent and short lived. Not ideal for four adults.

Funchal Old Time Apartment.

Pros: Excellent location, large well equipped apartment, super views and very handy for shops, restaurants and buses.

Cons: Has gone up a lot in price from previous years. Some intermittent problems with boiler, same as last year.

Great! Would definitely recommend!

Pros: Amazing location, clean, with everything you need for a convenient stay

Cons: Just as a suggestion- would be great if additional towels are provided for longer stays

Brilliant would not hesitate in going back or recommending it ✅

Pros: Everything. Really large apartment. Indoor courtyard to the property was beautiful and clean. . Location is amazing. Despite being in the centre of the old town it wasn’t noisy. Views are to die for of the old town, the sea and the cable cars. Bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in. Better than home. Patio and little balcony have stunning views. 100 m from restaurants, 200 m from the sea and cable car. Communication with staff was excellent. Met face to face to be let in. They arranged chauffeur to and from airport for 28 euros.

Cons: Some may find main patio/balcony being off the main bedroom as a bit odd but it wasn’t an issue for us.

Everything you need in Madeira

Pros: Location in the heart of funchal,5 minutes from grocery store and restaurant. There is a parking garage which is really a must.Apartment is really big and sunny. There is everything you need. Staff was amazing.

Cons: More attention to cleaning, hot water wasnt working properly.
