Great experience of being right in the centre of town and having lovely accommodation with no drawbacks of nighttime noi

Pros: Central location was great. Beautiful building which was sympathetically converted to apartments. Scrupulously clean accommodation with everything needed to self cater. Great outlook from the balcony over a busy street with cafes and shops which was quiet in the evening and overnight. The host Leonardo so helpful and accommodating in arranging our transfers and also giving us a late departure at no additional charge. Would definitely come back.

Excellent place, right in the thick of it. I'd say probably a little too pricey, BUTTT still great.

Pros: Location was right near a central bank with the police officer posted outside, so probably couldn't have gotten safer, although all of Madeira was exceptionally safe. Close to downtown and everything in the city.

Cons: There was a couple of mosquitos floating about that would've come in when they were airing out the room. The lift takes ages!

Pros: We absolutely loved the apartment! It was very clean, cozy, and comfortable — everything was perfectly prepared for travel and relaxation. A sweet gift from the host, a chocolate bar, was a wonderful surprise 😊 There was also coffee, tea, sugar, a capsule coffee machine, an iron, and all essential bathroom amenities. You can truly feel the care and attention to guests. Highly recommended!

A great place to stay in Funchal. Leonardo was a great communicator, offering great suggestions for dinner.

Pros: Great location, clean, comfortable with excellent communication.

Cons: A week is a long time to go without a change of linens, especially towels. Tea towels would be useful.

Perfect place!

Pros: Avenida Arriaga is perhaps the most beautiful street in Funchal. In a side street lies another beautiful, quiet street: Avenida Zarco. Here, in a fantastic Art Deco building, you will find ‘Art Deco Central Apartments’. Inside, the building has been restored to perfection. A beautiful wooden staircase leads you to your apartment. You can access the room with an access code (which is much more convenient than a key). We stayed on the third floor in an apartment with a small kitchen and a spacious terrace. Here, too, everything was perfect. Needless to say, if you want to stay in Funchal's historic center, everything is within walking distance. We stayed at Art Deco Central Apartments for seven nights, and both the location and the room were a fantastic choice for us and completely met our expectations. The very helpful owners are always ready to provide information (hotel/transfer/car...) or answer your questions. We have only two words for our short stay: Perfect place!

Cons: Nothing!
