Very nice cosy house with asea view

Pros: Very cosy tiny house with superb view. Located in the western side of the island so quieter and greener than the east coast. We stayed in winter so impossible to use the nice pool area.

Cons: There was a very bad smell in the bathroom coming from the sink of the shower.

A must stay when on Madeira!

Pros: Incredible experience - I severely underestimated just what the property offered. Amazing part of the island, incredible grounds, the pool is fantastic and the hobbit bar is truly a gem of the island. Amazing breakfast provided, and extremely peaceful and tasteful decor.

Cons: Nothing.

Amazing

Pros: An incredible place with an ocean view. Very quiet, stunning interior design, lots of beautiful little details — tableware, decor, lighting. Excellent large swimming pool with a depth of 1.5 metres along its entire length. There is a small pool for children.

Pros: The location is incredible, total peace and relaxation. It feels like a little bit of paradise on Madeira.

Cons: I wish someone would have replaced the breakfast food. I asked at the shop for replacements but was made to feel want we were given was the full stay which seemed odd.

Wouldn’t hesitate to come back! A rare find where design meets nature so successfully.

Pros: Amazing! Beautifully designed and well equipped. Spacious for our family of 4. Loved the pool and the hobbit bar too. Enjoyed picking herbs from the garden and the company of the cats.

Cons: The hosts were very hands off. We didn’t mind but others might. The delivered eggs were amazing but it would have been useful to have a better stocked shop and local bread for breakfast. I would also share with guests the amazing coffee shop in Ponto de Pargo. We bought local bread from the coffee shop and the cakes and coffee were amazing! An iron would be nice. But honestly these are all minor points :-)

Pros: Unforgettable views, pool, garden, little house, Hobit bar, everything.., we loved our stay! We had a little bit of colder weather and unfortunately we couldn't swim in the pool, so we have to come back! We had a little fireplace in the house and there was also the climatisation to use. The ingredients for breakfast were in the fridge and the fresh bread every morning on the door, very convenient. Our son was so happy here! The vast areas of western part of the island went through the fires during recent years, but nature is indomitable and everything is already green, only the residues of black trees make it a little bit melancholic.

Cons: The quite remote location has its pros and cons, but we definitely appreciated the tranquility of the place.

Pros: The cottage we stayed in, Casa Cascata, was very comfortable and well-styled. We liked everything! Also: cats, and the other animals on the beautiful property! Great views if the sunset. Also, nice dining options and a great coffee bar in the village.

Cons: We would have appreciated a little more variation in the breakfast options, but this is only a minor issue.
