Relaxed, friendly and interesting visit to a new place.

Pros: Lionel was such a friendly host with so much local knowledge. We samples his delicious home grown/made madeira wine. The one bed house is small but everything you need for 2 people. Friendly cats were a bonus.

Cons: Not much that we didn't like. We were glad to have a hire car to get about but sao vicente was a great central point if you want too travel around the island.

Vineyard stays

Pros: Location, swimming pool, lush garden, peaceful village life. Attentive owner gives us a plenty of advice on the areas. Leonel prepared his own wine for us to taste. In the accommodation was ready coffee, teabags juice and water. We enjoyed staying there.

Cons: Downstair is quite dark, will be benefit from better lighting (specifically around the kitchen area) or another window 😉 But we stayed most of the time outside then it’s was okay.

Great appartment at a great location

Pros: Location is great: great view on São Vicente and the surrounding mountains. São Vicente is a great base to explore Madeira The appartment is also great and the owner is very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place when visiting Madeira.

Pros: The hosts are so friendly and helpful, we got the feeling they really wanted our stay to be special. The swimming pool was clean and beautiful- swim one way to look at the mountain and the other way you look at another mountain. Lovely levada walks near to the accommodation. The accommodation itself was spotless.

Cons: Nothing, everything was excellent

great host , lovely place with bathroom for each bedroom, super nice garden and amazing town view.

Pros: Great location with amazing view to from the balcony, we also have possibility to buy some fresh eggs from host, Leonel was great host, keeping us informed about the trails as the wather in march was bit windy, very well equipted kitchen, 2 lovely and friendly cats in the garden, few restaurants in walking distance aprox 10 min was very handy. IN general we enjoyed the stay very much and can recommend it especially if you like to stay smaller town surrounded by mountains views, but still not far from the sea.

Pros: Absolutely beautiful location. Loenel was a great host. Definitely do the walk to the church and local levada that he recommended - breath taking views! Very comfortable and clean accomodation. Thank you!

What a perfect place to explore the island!

Pros: It was a perfect place, on a beautiful location with an excellent host!

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: This cozy apartment went beyond our expectations. It had all that was necessary other than being equipped with peculiar furniture. We really loved the peaceful atmosphere of the small town of São Vicente. The apartment also has a pool and an outside space immersed in the nature. Leonel has been very helpful providing all the information needed and giving us interesting tips for visiting the area, and was very kind as well to give us a taste of his Madeira wine. Very recommended 😊
