Beautiful views - basic accommodation - a place for the self-sufficient
Pros: Spacious apartment, but very sparsely furnished. Great views, but remember that comes at a price: you'll need a rental car for sure, however, you would need to be a very confident / competent driver to cope with the steep gradients and narrow passages and uphill starts etc. Driving in Madeira (including to this property) is not for the faint hearted!
Cons: It's more an apartment rental than a holiday room. The landlord has no English, and was largely absent, which can be a little tricky at times. A place for the self-sufficient for sure. It's a great location for the views, because it's high up, but that means that you will need to drive out for everything, nothing is remotely walking distance. Not really much in line of shops, tourist friendly bars or restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Being so high on a steep hill means great views, but also that the busy roads and highways are just below you. So be prepared for a lot of traffic noise, and animals like barking dogs and crowing cocks.

Very good self-catering accomodation at splendid location.
Pros: Excellent self catering accomodation on a superb location with outstanding views. Well equipped, clean, good bed. Late check-in worked fine! Friendly contact.
Cons: The access to the parking spot in front of the apartment is a little bit of an adventure for an unexperienced driver, narrow and steep. But I guess if you dare driving on Madeiran mountain roads than you don't need to worry too much. The gate needs to be opened by an electronic telecommand which unfortunately worked very unreliably, sometimes it refused to open for minutes which was very stressful.

Complete privacy
Pros: Very nice and comfortable apartment! Ideal location with a wonderful view of Machico! The accommodation has a beautiful terrace with seating and sea view. Complete privacy and silence. Plenty of parking space. Ideal base for exploring the beauty of Madeira by car. Has everything you need for a great self catering holiday.
Cons: A bit far from the town centre so not recommended without a car.

Pros: Magnificent location with some spectacular views. Peace and quiet. Plenty of parking space and you're left alone. Has everything you need for a great self-catering holiday.
Cons: Not exactly a negative, but you will need a transport or be prepared to walk (up steep hills) for about 40 min from the beach. Some minor fixes to the entrance door or toilet tank should be done - especially as they seem to be going on for a while.

Pros: Very nice, spacious place, we enjoyed our stay very much. A bit distant from city center so you will need a car for sure. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The host was always helpful and smiling. I can recommend this to anyone.

Pros: Très spacieux avec une magnifique vue au lever du soleil !
Cons: Équipement à la fois complet mais à la fois assez ancien. Quelques petites choses à réinvestir je pense, mais je le répète tout est fonctionnel.

Mega Aussicht, ausreichende Ausstattung, Tierchen
Pros: Die Lage ist mega. Man hat oberhalb am Rande von einem Berg eine super Aussicht über Machico und erfreut sich jeden Tag zum Früh-/Mittag-/Abendessen auf der unterhalb liegenden Terrasse zu essen. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen und würde selbst auch noch einmal hier buchen. Ein Auto ist zu empfehlen aufgrund des steile Anfahrtwegs.
Cons: Leider mussten wir ca. 20 min suchen um unsere Unterkunft zu finden, da die Adresse welche eingestellt ist, sich auf die komplette Straße bezieht. Als wir dann die Anwohner gefragt hatten, mussten wir ganz nach oben und haben ein schickes Anwesen mit Tor erreicht. Die Inhaber haben wir beim Check In gesprochen, leider konnte Sie kein Englisch, weshalb man mit Händen und Füßen kommuniziert hat. Wichtige Dinge sind dann nur mit Übersetzer möglich. Wer Probleme mit Tierchen hat, sollte die Türen geschlossen halten und ein Spray kaufen!
