Pros: It is a small nice hotel in Machico. We had a 3 person room with a balcony with a beautiful view. The room is simple but has all you need for a short stay. We stayed 2 nights only before our flight, as it is very close to the airport. For longer stays, we prefer a room with a cooking facility. The breakfast is simple, but enough for a start. The staff is nice. Overall, we liked it much.

Amazing

Pros: Amazing location and a really lovely place. The hosts were incredibly friendly — because we had to leave early in the morning, they kindly arranged breakfast for us 40 minutes earlier than usual. Beautiful view and very close to the city centre.

A Brilliant stay in a fantastic property in an exceptional area

Pros: Situation, everything within walking distance. Room was very spacious and we had a fantastic balcony with a sea view. Breakfast was sensational and the host very hospitable.

Cons: There was NOTHING that we didn’t like about the property and we thought it was extremely good value. If I was pushed the only way that it could get any better would be if a kettle and basic tea and coffee facilities could be put it the room.

Pros: The place is close to the beach and central streets with restaurants. Also there is not far a supermarket. Breakfast includes different options - eggs, sandwiches, tomatoes, cereal, yogurt, banana, oranges, croissants, cakes, tea, coffee, orange juice - you will not go hungry and can take away something for a trip. Administration is very kind and attentive. The room was cleaned, towels were changed every day. The view from the room is wonderful. And in front of the appartaments you can find big hotel, where you can order excursions, and you'll pick up from that place, it's nor necessary to go to Funshal
