Casa Laurinda Funchal

Super apartment

Pros: The apartment was fantastic, great location, quiet, but very close to everything. There was a fabulous welcome package of goodies, and Lucy, the host is the most welcoming and helpful host we've ever had. Nothing was too much trouble. Our trip was elevated from great to absolutely superb by staying here. We've only returned today, but are planning our next trip to Funchal and Casa Laurinda already.

Cons: Leaving to return home!

Pros: Amazing apartment - comfy, well equipped (even beach towels!). Perfect location, walking distance to everything and close to a mall. The host is amazing - everything was well taken care, she's super helpful and friendly! We got lots of great tips on where to eat, what to see, etc. Really top class - highly recommend!

Great apartment

Pros: Location at the center of Funchal, amentities at the apartment (it has eveything you need). It is very clean and well managed. Very close to multiple parking places, never had issues with parking.

Pros: Easy communication, lovely complimentary local foods and drinks upon arrival

Cons: The location is nice and relatively quiet, close to a shopping center. But the building is surrounded by many abandoned houses and also every early morning a local cock starts to sing around 5-6 am

Loved Madeira. So diverse and loads to see. Lucy provided lots of advice on things to and see. Highly recommend both the

Pros: Lucy, the host was really helpful and welcoming. Thank you so much. The house was lovely in great location for the centre of Funchal and getting about on trips, both organised and those we did ourselves.

Cons: Nothing it was perfect.

Brilliant

Pros: The location. Our host was always available to message but didn't intrude - a perfect balance. Very welcoming with food and drinks. There was always parking nearby.

Cons: No problem for us but the stairs are steep so just be aware if any mobility issues. A little sore if out hiking the day before.. more a sign that we need to move more!!

Cute place in a perfect location for exploring Funchal

Pros: Great location. Small but perfectly formed house on 3 floors. Ground floor kitchen/diner, first floor bedroom/bathroom and 2nd floor living room with outdoor area. Very well equipped and maintained. Our host, Lucy was very helpful and a fount of useful information. Public car park 3mins walk away where you can park for 4.5 euros per day

Cons: It was perfect for us but does have narrow steep stairways and I would be worried about toddlers and not sure those with poor mobility could manage them.

I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in Funchal.

Pros: Amazing stay in heart of the Funchal. Amazing location with very nice host. Welcoming basket with local products. It was a delightful touch that gave us a taste of the local culture.

Pros: Charming house with everything needed, quiet & relaxing place right within the city, rooftop terrace - best place. Perfectly located and organised.

Pros: I was here on the vacation with my son for a couple of nights. The appartment is very well equipped, everything is new and clean and it is near the centre with the restaurants. The communication with the owner Lucy was excellent, she was really helpful. After I rented a car I explored the whole island from Funchal. The parking of the car was also without problems. Near the appartment are blue colored parking spaces and I have no problem with searching free space. Two streets from the appartment is also big store where you can buy everything.
