Staying here again next year!

Pros: Location is spot on, so close to the centre but still less noisy than others close to the main road.

Cons: Couch was a temporary one, was just a bit small, needs replacing.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay in this lovely three-bedroom apartment in Funchal. The location, next to the park, was perfect for relaxing walks and the area was quiet and beautiful. The apartment was spotless, well equipped and very comfortable - we really felt at home. Everything was perfect and we felt very well looked after. There are many restaurants nearby and a supermarket. Just a few minutes from the seafront, the cable car and all the tourist attractions of Funchal. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

Comfort and space in the heart of Funchal.

Pros: Location, air conditioning, space, comfort, Wifi, Sound proofing of glass, bathrooms are high end. This place is a bit special, putting you right in the heart of Funchal, behind the cities 'Central Park'. Owner is very helpful. We will be back!

Cons: Hard to find anything to say here.. There are two flights of fairly steep stairs, these have excellent handrails on both sides, making them safe but not without a small challenge for someone who has difficulty on such. We are 60 but had no problem. Shower temperature control can be a struggle, just find one position and stick to it!

Great apartment in the centre of Funchal

Pros: Lovely apartment set out over three levels in the heart of Funchal with balconies overlooking a small park. The perfect location with cafes and restaurants just a few minutes walk away. There is also an excellent shopping center with a grocery store an approximate 5 minutes walk. The apartment is equipped with a washing machine which we found very useful.

Cons: There is no oven or toaster oven, just a microwave.

Pros: Excellent location to walk around Funchal. Light and airy Villa with excellent air conditioning.

Cons: No where to park if you wanted to hire a car.

Living in Funchal city center.

Pros: Great location in Funchal city center. Walk distance to many restaurants, events (jazz festival during our stay), coast, etc. Very comfortable 3 floors flat for 2 couples with bathroom on every floor.

Cons: Nothing but worth to consider that it is not easy to park a car nearby but possible and not expensive if using car over day or park in private parking located 5 min walk distance.

Fabulous townhouse in a great location with all amenities.

Pros: The apartment was in effect a house so lots of space and upgraded, so very modern. Fully equipped kitchen and nice outdoor terrace overlooking the park in the centre of the old town. The best accommodation we had in our time in Madeira. Great location and quiet at night. Would suit two couples as it has two bedrooms with own good sized bathrooms and an additional downstairs bathroom with the living area. It was perfect for us to walk to everything we wanted to see and do. There is a great bakery (not touristic) nearby for breakfast as well - near to the plaza shopping centre.

Cons: The front door opened straight onto the small and at times busy cobbled street so had to be careful coming and going. Other than that the property was well stocked (but could have a new kitchen sink plug) and there was nothing to want! Perfect really.

Great location, Spacious modern fully equipped apartment

Pros: We are so pleased we chose this apartment. All the reviews we had read were spot on. Miguel was a super host, keeping us updated with information near by and transport from the airport.. He responded quickly with any queries we had. We caught Aerobus getting off at No 7 La vie it was so close to the apartment. Victor met us there, and was very helpful showing us around the apartment which was excellent, with plenty of space, clean and well equipped. The bedrooms were spacious with separate shower areas. The location across from Jardim Municipal was great, with a cafe and plenty of seating areas. Sat out on the veranda across from the park, it didn’t feel like you were in a city. Easy access to shops and supermarket at La Vie shopping centre. Easy walk to Marina and sights.

All we needed

Pros: The property is located centrally to Funchal, and a quick walk to all of the local attractions, bars and restaurants. We travelled on the local bus from the airport, with directions provided from the host, the property was easy to find. We were a group of 3 friends and the property had everything we needed, good air con and a kitchen equipped well enough for making breakfast and snacks. The property is clean and feels large, we enjoyed drinks on the balcony overlooking the park.

Cons: Nothing!

Ideal location for family visit to Funchal.

Pros: Great location - cafe across the street for breakfast. Central, close to restaurants and historic area. Miguel very helpful on what to do - wish we had more time there! Miguel very responsive as our flight plans changed - immediate responses provided.
