Sea Mountain House

Delightful homely accommodation with amazing view.

Pros: It was like home from home but with a quirkiness that added great interest. A well kitted out house that we wished we had booked for longer.

Cons: The route up to the house was very narrow and steep and a real test of driving, but so worth the effort. The short walk from the car to the house was a bit ramshackle but interesting with overhanging bananas and lush vegetation.

Great property in a tropical garden with beautiful views and welcoming hosts.

Pros: Amazing location in the midst of a tropical garden and view on the bay. Very friendly and welcoming hosts serving bananas and eggs from their property! Large kitchen anabling the entire family to cook together. Well connected by car to hiking spots and beaches.

Cons: Although we love pets, the little dogs were a little too intrusive, specifically when going to private places and giving allergies to one of us.

Pros: Set high on the hill with great views of Machico, among banana trees. Very warm welcome by the owners who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, including providing basic foods and local specialties.

Breathtaking views

Pros: Breathtaking views from the balcony. This house is simply incredible, large and carefully decorated, plus the hosts are really kind.

Cons: Just like most places in Madeira, access can be a bit tricky. Make sure you rent a powerful enough car for your trip.

Pros: The view is amazing, the host super kind, we even got fresh eggs and fruits from the garden, everything was clean and cozy!

Cons: The address on booking is incorrect and it is not easy to find but the host sent us the geolocation (it was our fault that we did not see that in time)

Pros: An exceptional place to relax in the hug of the nature great for friends and families. The hosts are amazing, kind and helpful. Beautiful surroundings. Kind surprises. Thanks for the wonderful Christmas stay. :)

Cons: I personally like the road to the property, but I would highlight that I only recommend it for experienced drivers, against the fact the driving culture is really great on the island. During our stay there was a lot of rain and extremely high humidity, I required some time get use to this. Furthermore worth to keep in mind, that during this rainy time you need to plan with extra clothes for kiddos becase there is no change for the clothes to get dry.

Pros: We really liked the fresh fruits given by the landlord, the view was amazing, the house was well prepared, the price was very good 😊

Fantastic apartment in Machico

Pros: This was one of the best accommodations we ever had worldwide,apartment is hidden in jungle 5 minutes by car from Machico,it’s easy accessible with private parking. Apartments is spacious with 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms & big living room + kitchen, it’s very nice arranged with nice details. You can sit on terrace wit fantastic view on Machico bay. Owners Jean-Marc&Olivia are very nice & helpful people, they waited us till 1:30 in night, we got food for the breakfast, also they provided us with fresh fruits during our stay. We were very satisfied & we fully recommend it for your stay in beautiful Madeira.
