The House of Passos

Pros: Lovely stay, next to Levada Nova, surronded by nature and calm residentiall area. The owner of this house with his wife were very kind and welcomed me with local sweet and fruit.

Cons: During the winter time it is a bit colder than at the coastline and the humidity is higher.

We really enjoyed our stay at House of Passos! House was clean, spatious and had enough privacy. Staff was really nice

Cons: During our stay we were a bit cold in the mornings and evenings, even though we had extra blankets and a small heater. We would suggest for tourists staying over 5/7 days 2 sets of towels.

Cosy well-equipped house. Close to r hiking area: Levada Nova & Moinho.

Pros: A very comfortable and well-equipped house that has almost everything to enjoy the stay! House is also close to two breathtaking levada’s : Levada Nova & Moinho. So - perfect for hikers!

Pros: Very tidy, clean, and spacious. The neighbor and the people were very kind. Beautiful view of the mountains. We were welcomed with fruit, gifts, and wine. Parking. Terrace. Everything one could wish for.

Cons: A very large apartment although its spaciousness was also a drawback. One small electric heater simply wasn't enough to keep it comfortably warm and dry. The water heater is small, and only two people can take a comfortable shower. For that money it was cold in house.

Pros: Nice welcome treats - locally grown bananas, papaya, traditional Madeira sugar cane cake and local wine. Parking space for two cars right at the entrance to the house. Well equipped kitchen together with the living room and two very nice double bedrooms with wardrobes. Big bathroom. It was great to have a washing machine. Two little patios outside with the view of the ocean. The house was very clean which for us was very important., Very friendly and helpful hosts. By the end of our stay we got to know both of them as well as the other members of their family living nearby. We truly appreciate the hospitality of the owners, and it added an extra touch of charm to our vacation. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay. If we ever return, we won't hesitate to book here again. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

Great experience

Pros: The house is in walking distance to the Levadas Nova and Moinho. It's in a quiet area up the hill and surrounded by beautiful nature. Great for breakfast in the sun. 2 balconies with a view with sun from morning to sunset. Great place to start tours and get around the island. The neighbours are the owners of the property and very lovely people.

Cons: If I'm picky, I would say that in winter time it was a bit cold inside, with the movable heater manageable. No dish washer. The kitchen is a bit dated but all right.

Pros: The house was perfect for our stay during Christmas. The hosts are very helpful and kind. The house is big and we had a great view from the roof terrace over the island and the ocean.

Cons: It was a little bit cold in the house, but the hosts provided a small electric oven. :) I think it's common for the houses on Madeira that they don't have a heating system installed in the house. It's just relevant during winter times.

Pros: Very spacious house in the village, private parking. There was nothing we didn't like. Kitchen is fully equiped, large dining area, restrooms on both floors. Of course if you stay here, you need a car, beacause it is on a steepy hill. There is Nova lavada just outside of the garden, nice hiking experience. In general, location is superb for visiting whole island. Recommend 100% and wil definetely stay here next time in Madeira.

Cons: The water pressure was weak sometimes, and hot water was running out if three persons in a row were using shower. I thinks it's just hot water heater need to be replaced to larger one. Anyway it wasn't big issue for us, just needed to be mentioned :)

Nice house up in the Hills near Nature

Pros: We stayed 1 week and were pleased. Levada Nova is out the back gate and down the stairs. Owners live next door. They cooked us beef skewers (on a stick) one night, which was a great treat. They also provided us with loads of fruit during out stay. Local cake and wine waiting for us upon arrival too. The place was as advertised and the treatment was a bonus. Smooth check in with the property manager Veronica (She was very nice too).

Cons: Nothing really. We were pleased.

Pros: Sehr nette Vermieterin. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man zum Urlauben benötigt. Die Lage eignet sich sehr gut zum Erkunden der Insel.

Cons: Im Winter ist es etwas kühl im Haus.
