Casa Amarela

Pros: A wonderful little house with a terrace and a stunning ocean view. When we arrived, we were greeted with fruit, cake, and wine from the hosts. Surrounded by private cottages, we had been waking up by the sounds of birdsongs and the clucking of hens. It's an ideal place for tourists who don't need the pretentiousness of large hotels. Funchal city center is a 20-minute walk away, and we took the bus back up the mountain. You can buy a bus card at the Anadia shopping center, or pay the driver in cash.

Cons: It was a bit chilly at nights inside, but the abcense of central heating is usual thing for houses in these areas, I believe.

Pros: Very peaceful and quiet place with the view to the ocean. Birds singing in the morning and sunset made our rest in this place full of pleasure.

Pros: The location is perfect with a stunning view of the sea and Madeiras mountains. The Owner was extremely accommodating and brought wine and traditional cake for us to enjoy, the property was extremely clean and we felt very safe. The owner also arranged transfers for us to and from the airport. Perfect experience.

Pros: Our stay at Casa Amarela was absolutely wonderful. The property itself is beautiful, with stunning views that made every moment feel special. The bed was super comfortable, and the TV was perfect for unwinding after a day full of scenic walks and exploring the island. The outdoor seating area was also great – such a peaceful spot to relax and take in the surroundings. What truly made the experience stand out, though, was the host Ricciardo. He was more than welcoming – helping us with our bags on arrival and greeting us with a bottle of wine and a delicious Madeira cake, which was such a thoughtful touch. We felt right at home and absolutely loved our time here. Highly recommend Casa Amarela to anyone visiting Madeira – it’s a special place made even better by an exceptional host.

Gorgeous

Pros: Amazing place, location close to the bus stop. Very kind and friendly hosts. Room was clean, spacious, cosy, with cute garden and generous amenities. I loved the wine and cake on our arrival!

Everything is good, we like everything

Pros: Super and compact apartments with nice view, you have everything what is needed, even coffee and liquid for washing machine. You just can seat, dream and look on the sea. The place is quiet, with not many people and cars around. Possible to park car nearby for free. Big thanks to owners for taking care about their guests and food presents.

Cons: A bit difficult road from the main Street to the house, but it is very typical type of road for Madeira. Looking on it as on possibility to improve our driving skills

Pros: We spent wonderful time in this accomodation! In accomodation there is everything you need. A gift (wine, fruit and cake) was waiting for us from the hosts, and I appreciate a lot of coffe prepared for us. In kitchen you can find a lot of spices, oil and sauces. Towels, hairdrier, soap and bathgel are at the bathroom. Hosts are very friendly!

Cons: There could be just a little problem with parking. You have to go up a steep hill. The hill is fine for the locals, but it surprised us a bit. But you quickly get used to it, or park under it.

Beautiful house and beautiful view

Pros: When we arrived we met the owner in the opposite house who gave us the keys. We parked the car in front of the house. The place for the car is always available Amarela house is very beautiful, there is everything you need, we found also a typical cake and wine, and some fresh fruits, very appreciated. The view is lovely, thank you Riccardo and Family for your ospitality and the beautiful moments you have given us with your home, we hope to see you soon.

Cons: Parking could be complicated for people not familiar with hills, but for me it wasn't a problem. The pan was heavily used, but that wasn't really a problem either.
