Sea View Villa Mar Lindo nr Ponta do Sol

Hilltop Sanctuary

Pros: Mar Lindo is a beautiful vacation home. Our family had such a great time both in the town of Ponta do Sol and especially the house. Staying over for Christmas was a good decision. The property is walking distance to the town below. The town had more than enough of what we needed for groceries and shops. Our hosts were wonderful! Not only did they provide clear instructions and recommendations for the town. They also ensure their property is fully-equipped, well maintained, clean, and a relaxing experience.

Cons: We wish we could stay longer.

Pros: Impressive villa, great size, amazing views that will never get old. Owner had thought of all the little things to make it a very easy stay. I hope to go back again some day. Helpful with all questions I had.

Cons: Only small issue we had was a small leak from the bidet that we had to dry up each day. I'm sure a temporary issue that will be fixed soon.

Pros: We had a blast! This is a fantastic, spacious holiday house equipped with everything you might need during your stay. The pool is big and deep enough, and the views are breathtaking. The location is great—Ponta do Sol beach, with its bars and restaurants, is just a 10-minute walk downhill. Clive was very responsive and quickly solved any small issues we had during our stay.

Cons: Climbing back from the center can be quite challenging, as the hill is pretty steep. Taking a car is a better option if you have any mobility issues.

Pros: Very spacious and well-equipped house, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ocean view from all the windows of the house (you won't see the sunset, it is visible on the other side of the mountain). Good size and depth (1.60m) swimming pool. Very good location, 15 minutes walk to restaurants and the ocean. Ponta do Sol is a very cozy village.

Cons: Hiding the lamp would definitely increase the value even more. But we could get used to it :)

Fabulous spacious well appointed villa

Pros: Spacious, well presented and well equipped villa with a good sized swimming pool. Host was responsive and attentive. Well positioned to travel into Funchal and around the island. Property located in a quiet residential area.

Cons: Property is on a hill, so walking down and back up from the resort centre is a challenge, especially if you have young children or elderly relatives. Car recommended.

Pros: My stay at this property was truly enjoyable. The pool with a view was absolutely amazing – swimming while admiring the beautiful scenery was a real pleasure and the perfect way to relax after a day of sightseeing or activities. The location was also excellent: everything you need is close by, yet the area is peaceful and quiet, making it easy to unwind. I’d also like to highlight the great communication with Clive. He was very responsive, helpful, and made sure everything was clear from the start. Any questions I had were answered quickly, which made me feel well taken care of throughout my stay. I definitely recommend staying here – the fantastic pool, excellent location, and professional service make it a place you’ll want to return to!

Great stay in a big house with amazing view

Pros: - location was good. Car is a must. Paul do Mar is a very cute little village. View from the house/terrace/pool really great - pool was nicely warm. We could swim easily in April - house is big and has everything you might need for a stay (including. tabs for dishwasher, liquid for washing machine) - dark curtains in the bedrooms. - easy and clear self check-in special thanks for welcome gift :)

Superb stay!

Pros: The view from the terrace and all the rooms was absolutely incredible. I also loved the warm and spacious pool, the excellent location of the property, and the convenience of private parking.

Cons: The only minor issue was the noticeable echo in the house.

The best villa we’ve ever stayed in, with wonderful views and a fantastic location.

Pros: The Villa is exceptional - spacious rooms with sea views, very comfortable and well equipped and the outdoor space is wonderful- the photos of the pool don’t do it justice - much bigger than we were expecting, warm and of course with amazing views of the Atlantic! The location is great - a short walk down to the town with a supermarket and a few bars / restaurants. The host is great- we had d a bit of a problem with the electricity on the first evening but Clive helped us to sort it out straight away - he was very responsive and helpful. Thank you Clive!

Cons: We loved everything!

Pros: The view was just amazimg, it was very quiet and cozy. The host is pleasant and helpful. I would really love to come back🙂
