The Millennial Lifestyle Apartment by Amazing Madeira

Perfect location for exploring the island.

Pros: Location excellent with great conveniences nearby including groceries and boutiques, tourist attractions and promenade. Old town close by along with the fish market and main shopping areas. View of the mountains was lovely. Cable car minutes away and taxis available metres away too. Excellent find to be honest.

Cons: Smell of garbage in the lobby worsened as well as a smell from the shower plug hole in the apartment. Lack of hooks for hanging items in the bathroom. The kitchen sink is in an awkward spot behind the kitchen door.

Great! Cozy, centrally located apartment.

Pros: The property was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with essentials. Located on the 5th floor with a lift, it was conveniently close to the old town, cable car, buses, market, cathedral, and waterfront. Margarida greeted us warmly, shared helpful tips on activities and dining, and stayed in touch via WhatsApp until our arrival. However, we didn’t receive a response when we messaged her after leaving. The apartment included basics like dishwasher tabs, laundry pods, tea towels, washing-up liquid, bin bags, cooking oil, and condiments. A large Continente supermarket is right across the street, and Pingo Doce, under the Anadia shopping center, is less than a 5-minute walk away. Restaurants and cafés are also just steps from the building. The location was ideal, with most of Funchal’s highlights within easy walking distance.

Cons: The central location does come with some street noise, particularly from the Continente loading dock across the road, which starts before 7 a.m. The windows aren’t soundproof, and keeping them closed to reduce noise can make the rooms feel hot due to Madeira’s high humidity. The apartment has no air conditioning. The beds are firm, which might not suit everyone. The fitted sheets and mattress protectors were smaller than the mattresses, causing them to shift during the night. The pillows could also be improved for better comfort. The shower is small and enclosed, with no shelf for soap or shampoo. Additionally, the bathroom lacks hooks for towels or a way to dry them.

Madeira is lovely, Funchal was a great place to see the island from.

Pros: Proximity. The apartment was in the centre of Funchal, close to shops, the harbour and a great supermarket right opposite.

Cons: The only thing we didn’t like about the property was a small dog barking regularly out on its balcony , on the floor above us. We presumed the owner left him/ her and it was lonely.

Pros: Bright, spacious appointment, prefect central.location

Cons: The smell of Garbage was everpresent in the entrance lobby, very off putting. (Garbage storage room next to the elevator) The shower door was broken, we had to lift it into place at each shower use to prevent water splashing into the rest of the bathroom.

A lovely light spacious apartment in a great area of town.

Pros: Great location with lots of local cafes and supermarket near plus very near Mercado etc Two balconies, quiet at night. Huge, spacious light apartment

Cons: The only thing to mention is the expresso machine is too light to work on the induction hob, a cafetiere would be better.

Great stay

Pros: The apartment is spacious, clean and has all the amenities you require and is very well located in the town centre of Funchal. It only takes approximately 5 minutes to walk to the sea front

Cons: As others have said the apartment is not air conditioned and if you open the doors or windows it is very noisy until late at night and from early morning though I appreciate this is to be expected in a town centre.

Excellent 2 bed flat on a top floor with all the facilities we needed. Highly recommended and would book again.

Pros: The property is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom flat in the heart of Funchal and within easy walking distance to all the key places, museums, restaurants, old town, promenade. The flat contains everything one would need for a stay. The flat was spacious, clean, comfortable, convenient and central. With windows/balcony doors open, there was a lovely breeze throughout the flat. The lift was very handy for the 5th floor flat. The balcony was great and it was good that seating was provided. It was great to sit in the balcony and relax and cool off.

Cons: The property did not have air conditioning although with windows/balcony doors open, there was a lovely breeze. We went in May and it was comfortable (23C) and on some warm nights, I left the balcony door open to let cool air in, however the room door kept slamming shut with the breeze so a door stop would have been nice to have. I am not sure how it would be during very hot weather. For an 11 night stay, I felt not enough toilet paper was provided - only 3 rolls. We had to buy a few more rolls for our stay. The flat was only cleaned on exit. As we were there for 11 nights, it would have been good if the flat was cleaned at least once during the stay. The occupants of the flat above which had an open terrace decided to have an all night party which was very noisy with sounds of furniture being moved, loud talking etc and it was difficult to get to sleep.

Pros: Eine sehr schöne und große Wohnung mit allen Annehmlichkeiten die für einen Urlaub wichtig sind. Die Lage mitten in der Stadt war ideal, besonders für Selbstversorger die Entfernung zum Supermarkt. Zusammenfassend sehr empfehlenswert.

Bel appartement

Pros: Appartement assez grand, près des services, ascenseur ( 5 ième étage ) Bien équipé, fonctionnel. Deux balcons , belle vue . Près du port ,téléférique et zones touristiques .

Cons: Le bruit dû à l’emplacement près de l’épicerie , par contre proximité pour les emplettes , mais silencieux si on ferme les portes pour dormir. Pas d’air climatisé mais ok pour un séjour en octobre.

Pros: Virtuve aprīkota ar visu nepieciešamo. Terases. Liela viesistaba. Drošība. Komunikācija.

Cons: Mazā guļamistaba nedaudz par mazu lielajai gultai, varētu būt vismaz vienā gultas pusē lielāks skapītis vai cita virsma kur uzlikt grāmatu vai tableti. Vannas istabā kāds pakaramais vēlams, lai drēbes nebūtu jāliek uz tualetes vāka vai izlietnes, dušā neliels plauktiņš kur uzlikt ziepes vai šampūnu. Sīkumi bet svarīgi.
