Lovely appartment right in the centre of the old town.

Pros: Excellently location. Right in the centre of the old town. Quiet. Cosy. Comfortable. Spacious. Everything was superb. We loved our stay.

Cons: The four story staircase was the only negative.

Pros: The appartment has a balcony with sea views, and it very conveniently located in the old town. All the cooking equipment you'd need in the kitchen. The owners even left a bottle of madeira and some cake as a welcome - nice touch!

Cons: At the time of writing the building next door was undergoing extensive construction work. Between 9-5 monday through to saturday, there is constant whirring of a crane, frequent drilling, etc. If you plan on being out during the day, not an issue. And at some point the work will complete. Its a great appartment in all other respects. If you plan on being in a reasonable amount during the day (e.g. if you are working) then I'd check with the owners on the status of the building works.

Highly recommended- loved this property.

Pros: Perfect location, very clean. Spacious with a great shower and all the amenities provided, including all the basics for cooking and even towels for the beach. Great view of the city and of the sea. Very, very happy with our stay!

A relaxing place to stay in old town Funchal, good facilities and views.

Pros: Great location, comfortable and spacious apartment, quiet and relaxing atmosphere, good facilities

Cons: The lift not working for arrival and leaving with luggage wasn’t great. There are a few small things that could improve the apartment like a small shelf behind the door or on the wall beside the shower as no place to put a cosmetic bag etc. More hooks for clothes and towels would help. Also, the shower curtain situation isn’t great, there is surely a neater solution.

Pros: Dachterrasse und Aussicht perfekt. Zentrale Lage. Busterminal und Parkhaus gegenüber sehr praktisch. Einrichtung/Ausstattung und Platz sehr gut.

Cons: Baulärm über den Tag. Treppe anstrengend.

Tolle Wohnung mit Dachterrasse mit Blick auf das Meer, die Stadt und die Berge

Pros: Die Wohnung ist einfach toll, der Ausblick nicht zu toppen! Persönlicher Empfang durch den freundlichen Gastgeber. Als Willkommensgruß fanden wir Madeirawein, typische Süßigkeiten, Wasser, Obst und Kaffeekapseln. Bequemes Bett. Genügend Handtücher, Toilettenpapier etc. vorhanden. Uns persönlich hat es nicht gestört, trotzdem möchte ich hier den Hinweis geben, dass die Wohnung im 4. Stock liegt und der uralte Lift wohl schon länger ohne Funktion ist. Wir würden die Wohnung jederzeit wieder mieten. Herzlichen Dank für die 12 Tage über den Dächern der Altstadt :)
