Lazareto Apartment by Holiday Rental Madeira

Very comfortable with good view of sea from kitchen as balcony was too windy!

Pros: Very well stocked kitchen with way more than usual cutlery glasses etc Very quiet provided you kept window shut otherwise dogs barking

Cons: No bialetti coffee maker after they said they. Had one Never didgetone during our stay but we got by with the coffee maker they had We were expected to get rid of non recyclable waste in street side bins as they clearly were not prepared to pay local authority for an outside bin which the other houses had Felt bad about doing this

Madeira beautiful, location great but Holiday Rental Madeira very challenging & disappointing

Pros: We had particularly chosen this location to be on the Zona Velha (the Old Town on the east side of Funchal), 15 minute walk to the town centre (down hill) with lots of restaurants en route. The apartment itself was very comfortable but we had an issue with (lack of) air con & cleanliness when we arrived and the management company were particularly difficult to deal with. However, we thoroughly enjoyed Madeira, which is truly a beautiful island with so much to do and see & we will most likely return

Cons: When we arrived to the apartment just before 15:00hr there were workmen removing large cardboard pieces and what looked like a new air con unit wrapped in plastic. They left the front door to the building and apartment door open explaining the cleaners would be along shortly (we were charged €120 for cleaning). The bathroom litter basket was not emptied, there was patio chair in the shower and it was very apparent this had not been cleaned. There was debris from the work men, the floor in the hallway/kitchen dining area needed cleaning and there was a hole in the wall, where the air con unit had been. The apartment was managed by Holiday Rental Madeira (HRM) so I called them. At 15:15hr 4 lady cleaners arrived, finished and left 15 minutes later. I spoke HRM and discussed our disappointment & dissatisfaction with how the apartment was left. We declined to have the contractors in during our stay. HRM did offer us another apartment on the other side of Funchal, which was on a roundabout and fast food chain underneath the block so we declined. The following morning HRM WhattsApp'd me stating 'they are going to pass by today until 10am to fill the hole'. The hole where the air had been removed was overhead an archway, you could see directly up into the attic & we had no idea what may or may not have been living or running around up there! By 12:30hr nobody arrived & we were keen to go out so I contacted HRM. I was reassured the contractors & owner would fill the hole later that day. This did not happen, the hole remained open for the duration of our stay. HRM were incredibly difficult & challenging to deal with. They said we had not paid for air con which is clearly listed on the booking.com reservation, that they didn't know when we were arriving but they had been informed and the apartment wasn't ready by their own official check-in time. Pros: Усё было цудоўна! І чыста, і камфортна, і прасторна, і ўвесь посуд, які толькі трэба! А яшчэ цудоўная тэраса з відам на акіян! І парковачнае месца, што важна. Пешкі жа цэнтра Фуншала, шмат кавярняў паблізу. Нам вельмі спадабалася, дзякуй!

Pros: Apt is situated in perfect spot, if i book in Madeira sometimes in future i would book the same quorter of the city. Very nice and clean and new.

Cons: Very expensive. i know its subjective, but its really too much. Good property, still price should be about 20-30% cheaper or average Joe wont travelling anymore in future. I can't say something bad about that. Just when you imagine 1k Euro property for 4 nights, you expect something absolutely luxury..dont know how to say. This is new reconstructed property which i liked a lot, you book without hesitation if money are not a problem for you.

Pros: Very spacious and comfortable, well equipped, nice terrace with a view.

Heel aangenaam en comfortabel.

Pros: Uitzicht, het terras, de bedden, op wandel afstand van het centrum (maar niet voor wie niet goed van been is).

Cons: Krappe leefruimte als plots omwille van regenweer de tafel van het terras en de droogrek binnen moeten.

Prima appartement in Funchal

Pros: Mooi appartement. Goed uitgerust. Groot balkon met uitzicht. Parkeerplaats bij het huis. Centrum van Funchal is op loopafstand ( 30 minuten met wat hoogtemeters).

Cons: Verlichting in de woonkamer was erg wit.

Pros: Das Appartement war gemütlich, stilvoll und ruhig. Besonders toll waren die Lage (zu Fuß in die Altstadt) sowie die große Terrasse mit Blick auf den Atlantik.

Cons: Leider fehlten Liegestühle auf der Terrasse.

Wygodny, czysty, gustownie urządzony i znakomicie wyposażony apartament z pięknym widokiem na ocean.

Pros: Świetna lokalizacja blisko oceanu. Tylko 15 min od starego miasta, a jednocześnie cicho i spokojnie. Znakomity kontakt z wynajmującym. To był bardzo udany pobyt. Gorąco polecam :)
