Pros: An incredible place to stay, especially for the NYE fireworks. The apartment offers a perfect view of Funchal. The hosts made the stay memorable by being supportive, responsive, and providing great tips. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Exceptional - home away from home

Pros: Exceptional stay. My second time here and it was just as amazing as the first time. Edgar is helpful and super responsive when booking and his parents Abel and Teresa are the most kind and humble people ever. We were warmly greeted and shown around by Abel who has so many treats waiting for us....from a homemade flan and tuna dish to fresh bread from the bakery and eggs and fruits from the garden, together with a fridge full of of drinks, and breakfast ingredients. The hospitality and generosity is second to none. The world would be a better place if we had more people like this in it. The garden is so beautiful and immaculate, and you can definitely tell it's a true labour of love. Absolutely loved my stay and can’t wait to go back again soon.

Cons: Location might be an issue for some but didn't make a difference to me.....enjoyed the quiet location with amazing view

Pros: It was such a beautiful place! Beautiful view, garden, apartment and swimming pool. And such great hosting! Close to the main roads made it super easy to see the whole island from here :) In 200m you have a supermarket and bakery! Definitely gonna come back.

Pros: We want to sincerely thank you for the warm welcome – you truly made our day from the very moment we arrived from the airport. Hungry and tired, we were greeted with a beautifully set table, a delicious fish, and for dessert, Teresa’s homemade cake. On top of that, the fruits from your own garden that you had prepared for us were such a thoughtful touch. These may seem like small gestures, but they meant a lot to us. We were deeply touched by your kindness and authenticity – it’s people like you that make us want to return. We truly hope to see you again very soon.

Pros: Fantastic accommodation in a great location for exploring Madeira with easy access to Funchal. The accommodation was very clean with all the facilities you could need. Then garden and pool are beautiful and very well cared for, a very relaxing place to be. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly but also left us to ourselves so the accommodation feels very private. The welcome food on arrival and the opportunity to help yourself to the home grown salad is a very special touch!

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: We had a lovely time staying here. The most beautiful welcome from any accommodation so far, with fruits and vegetables and cooked meals waiting for us at arrival. Everything you need is at a short distance. Also a great location if you have a car and want to explore the entire island. The entire family hosting the property were very friendly and helpful. The Quinta is amazing with lots of terraces and places you can stay outside and enjoy the view. We highly recommend this place.

Quiet oasis on edge of Funchal with great views

Pros: Perfect space with a big terrace and glorious views of Funchal. The hosts were super friendly and accomodating. We came with our 7 month old and they provided a cot/ infant bath. We arrived after a late flight and they had prepared us a lovely meal. They also left a bowl of fresh fruit from the garden. There is also a great bakery round the corner which is v popular with the locals.

Cons: Location was a bit out of town which suited us as it was quieter and had more space. Was an easy 20 min walk into Funchal but v hilly on the way back. We would usually get the bus back with many buses stopping outside the house so never had to wait long.

Really enjoyable and super location and gardens surrounding apartment. Splendid views.

Pros: The location was good with easy bus connections. The apartment was very spacious though wardrobe space was limited. The self catering facilities were good and the hosts were superb with a lot of goodies in the apartment upon arrival (eg eggs, bread, fruit)

Pros: This accommodation exceeded all our expectations. The lovely hosts took care of everything: they handed over the keys, introduced us to their wonderful Eden garden, prepared dinner together with a delicious cake and Madeira wine, provided a generous fruit basket, cakes and a basket full of eggs... We've never encountered such a caring welcome anywhere. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the home was clean and cozy. Everything was thoughtfully prepared. Even on the day of departure, the host surprised us with such care that we are still filled with great gratitude. If we come back to Madeira, we will definitely stay here again!

Pros: You couldn't imagine a more welcoming reception, thank You Abel and Theresa! The apartment was clean and well equipped, even better than in the pictures. Beautiful garden and terraces and the views of the city. The buses run well and the stops are right next to quinta, which is good because the route to the city is very steep.
