Machico Terrace

Pros: Short hop from the airport with beautiful views from the balcony & great facilities. Proximity of the apartment to Machico which was both registration point & finish of the MIUT race we were taking part in.

Great find, close to all amenities only 10min drive from Funchal!

Pros: This place was great! I think Machico gets overlooked because it's not Funchal, but I think if you are driving, this is the place to be. The grocery store is super close, the airport is super close, car rental (Tangerine) is super close. There was free parking, and the streets by it were very quiet. Even driving to Funchal is like 10min. I would definitely recommend saving money and booking a place in Machico. Overall the apartment was clean and VERY spacious, even an extra office room if you need it. I also appreciated that there was a washing machine with laundry pods and a drying rack included. Rarely get that. The bedroom is basic and does the trick, but don't expect anything super comfy. LOTS of closet space however! Everything was clean and mostly worked well. Would stay again!

Cons: Only a couple of minor things: - The toilet stayed running after each flush. We had to lift the lid on the tank to fix it every time we used it. - The location on this hill is VERY windy, which surprisingly creates a loud wind-blowing noise in the apartment. After a while, it's just like white noise, but it is loud, even with windows closed. -There was a nice pod coffee machine, but no coffee pods :( One or two would've been nice. We even went to the grocery store looking for them, but couldn't find the right brand, so don't count on having coffee. -The Wi-Fi code is not on any instructions. You just have to find the router behind the TV and look for the code on the back. - Parking is free but not assigned and can get pretty busy at night, so we had to park quite far a couple of times.

Gorgeous east facing sea view in a neat tidy flat

Pros: The cleanliness, the gorgeous view especially the sunrise from the east. The easy access by car with ample parking, close proximity to Machico town centre, and very close to a big supermarket. The proximity to the airport runway was not a problem at all as the planes were very infrequent and not very loud. The mattress was big, firm and comfortable. Plenty of pillows and blankets to stay cosy and warm. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The communal areas of the building were clean, neat and no issues with our neighbours.

Pros: Super nice and clean, helpful host and amazing location! I would recommend it for sure and hopefully come back to this place.

Pros: great apartment, very comfortable, with very good equipped kitchen, nice size tarrace, great communication with the owner. The best thing is the view: spectacular view of the ocean, Machico town, and big, green hills. Great panoramic windows even in the apartment’s hall

Cons: A little bit noisy when planes get off, but it’s quiet in the night.

Exceptional

Pros: From the moment of our arrival to the very end this accommodation was perfect. The host was very communicative and helpful, with problems even outside this booking. He even ordered us a taxi when we couldn't do it ourselves. The apartment was very cozy with everything you would need for a short and even a very long stay. It was close to everything and most important it was close to the highway, so your can start you journey every day very easily. The kitchen is very well equipped even though we ate outside most of the time. The terrace has a perfect view of Machico beach.

Cons: The only thing that may be problematic is the noise from the airport and the streets. I am a very light sleeper so I woke many times during the night.

Tolle Aussicht über Machico und Sao Lourenço

Pros: Tolle Aussicht, groß und gut ausgestattete Küche, nah zum Flughafen, ruhig gelegen, kein Straßenlärm

Cons: Liegt etwas außerhalb von Machico, deshalb kein Supermarkt in Fußnähe

Pros: Bardzo komfortowe mieszkanie - było wszystko, co potrzebne.Mimo bliskości lotniska, dość ciche- samoloty nie zakłócały nocy:) Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielami

Agradable estancia

Pros: Personal atento y amable, cómodo para la recogida de llaves. Nos dejaron galletas de bienvenida. Alojamiento cómodo para pasar unos días, Buena ubicación. Muy cerca del aeropuerto.

Cons: Echamos en falta lavavadora y tostadora.

Ótimo custo benefício e bem localizado.

Pros: Apartamento espaçoso, cozinha bem equipada, boa paisagem, cama grande e boa localização.

Cons: As almofadas da cama não eram as melhores e não teve papel higiénico ou gel de banho suficiente para a estadia.
