Vila Gama Apartaments

Great place, great host, tiny bit noisy location

Pros: The place is equipped with all you would need. It is spacious, has a seperate kitchen, badroom and living room with a bathroom of course. The terrace is amazing, big and has a good view on the ocean and the airport. There are parking spaces on the street just next to the property, could find an empty space always. The owner was very helpful, I have asked quite a lot of questions, and they answered very quickly and politely.

Cons: The windows are looking at the street and towards the airport, thus the noise can be a bit bothering. During the night however the airport is pretty quiet fortunately, however noise from across the street, from a bar can be again bothering during the night. We were prepared to it from other reviews already, and had an earplug, which resolved this issue quickly and easily.

Pros: Very close to airport, very beautiful landscape and amazing garder around house

Pros: Very nice and comfy apartment, very well equipped kitchen. The garden and nature around villa was amazing :) Very good view to airfield and interesting plane spotting place. Friendly furry friend :) Recommendation: from Vila Gama to nearest shop Continente is 500 meter and if you make client card you will get extra prices, especially tuna fish for furry friend.

Cons: Ants

Pros: Nice cafe opposite side of the street, supermarket close by. Clean, cosy, big kitchen, nice terrace.

Cons: Noise from airplanes.

Pros: In a country style setting, relaxing, cosy gardens. Quick drive from airport, 30 minute walk to Machico, easy to get to Funchal. Stayed 5 nights and explored area quite easily.

Cons: Keeping in mind close to airport, means fun to watch planes, but can be annoying to some. Though not as many planes as I thought in the mornings, just a couple.

Pros: This is a perfect accommodation at a reasonable price.

Nice apartment in a cool neighborhood!

Pros: Spacious, cozy apartment. Great deck. Easy check in. Lovely garden.

Cons: Some airport noise. A fan in the apartment would have been helpful to block that out.

Pros: Family run business,very friendly hosts. Beautiful garden with grill. Good location close to Funchal and Machico beach.

Pros: Great location, terrace, shops nearby, lots of greenery around. Washing machine, dryer. Very comfortable rest. The owner is very friendly.

Pros: The nature around the apartment and the position out of the city but close to Machico and the bus stops

Cons: A bit too hot in the room and too many mosquitoes due to the lack of mosquito net
