Discovery Apartment

Excellent accommodation

Pros: This place is just amazing! Spacious room, a lot of utensils to cook, hot water, strong wifi, AC, comfortable bed, nice and welcoming owners. They also have a parking spot. I couldn’t desire more!

Cons: Everything was perfect.

A lovely little apartment with a very welcoming host.

Pros: A lovely little apartment with everything you need for a nice stay. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen was fully equipped. The host is a very friendly and warm person.

Cons: The apartment is located a bit outside the center of Santana and from the supermarket. If you have a car, this is not a problem, as they offer a parking slot. Without a car, however, you should be prepared for longer walks.

A very authentic place to experience Madeira’s nature while being close to the locals.

Pros: 1.A very responsive and friendly host. Welcomed us with a compliment – Pancho and cookies :) 2.A very authentic place to experience Madeira’s nature while being close to the locals. 3.A large terrace to enjoy the wonderful view. 4. In the nearby area, sheep graze, which is a delight to see in the morning.

Cons: 1. Considering that this apartment is on the attic floor, sometimes we bumped our heads, but you just need to be careful :) 2. The view from the terrace is slightly spoiled by an old, partially dismantled Opel Astra, but it adds to the authenticity and feeling of being among Madeira’s locals.

Great comfortable stay in rural peaceful area!

Pros: The apartment is fully equipped and enjoys a nice comfortable terrace overlooking the gardens. There are various cute farm animals around and the view from the terrace is peaceful . The area is very quiet and you can explore Santana from the house by walking along the levadas (irrigation system).

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: We loved everything about this place! We wished we could have stayed longer. The owners are very kind!

Pros: I had the studio apartment and loved it, I had everything I could need for my stay. The host was lovely and very welcoming. It was a great location to get to Pico do Ruivo (20 minute drive) and close to all the places in Santana.

We had a very nice stay.

Pros: Lovely well equiped apartment. The family that owns the apartment is really welcoming

Exceptional hosts, apartment, location, cleanliness and comfort - highly recommend!

Pros: My partner and I cannot fault anything. The hosts were extremely kind, welcoming, knowledgeable and generous - we were greeted on arrival with a tour of the apartment, homemade biscuits and traditional Madeiran wine. The apartment was well furnished, well equipped and extremely clean. Little details were added to make it feel like home and we are grateful for this. We could message the host whenever we wanted to, day or night, and we felt very looked after. There is a lovely terrace with a barbecue area, washing machine which is free to use and detergent provided. On our departure, our host gave us another gift and wished us a safe journey. Overall, we are sad to leave here: great, quiet location and fabulous experience. Thank you.

Cons: We didn't like the fact we had to leave!

Pros: We visited Madeira in December, it was cold and the owner kindly gave us additional electric heater, so it was cosy. Also he permitted us late check-out because of rainy weather. We appreciate. Nice equipped, clean apartment with own parking space.

Pros: Lovely peaceful location . Friendly and helpful host.

Cons: Hard not to bump your head on the sloping roof
