Granny's farm

peaceful retreat in nature

Pros: the location is great, peaceful & quiet, near a beautiful levada the garden is big & cute with lots of places to chill

Cozy, charming location with a beautiful garden

Pros: Incredibly cozy accommodation with a beautiful garden, surrounded by mountains. Everything was spotless clean, the shared kitchen and bathroom were equipped with the necessary items. We slept in a tent, but we weren't cold at all even when it got chilly outside during the night. We really enjoyed staying here, I'd recommend it as a base for exploring the north and west of the island. The host was very welcoming and the whole place was just so charming :)

Lovely and quiet place to relax in the mountains.

Pros: Great peaceful location surrounded by nature, with hammocks, barbecue, cozy cabins, and convenient parking. Friendly host, plus access to washing machine and dryer. Perfect if you want to relax or explore the north of the island.

Cons: A lot of mosquitoes and no mosquito nets, which made evenings less comfortable. It’s also quite far up in the mountains, so not ideal as a base for the whole island.

Pros: This camp in Madeira was probably the most beautiful accommodation I have ever stayed in. So well equipped and comfortable that we didn’t miss anything at all. The bathrooms and kitchen were located just a few steps away. Everything was very well organized and clean. The whole place is beautifully set up and truly exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended – we would definitely love to come back!

Pros: The feeling what you can get there is awesome. Very friendly and lovely place. I really enjoyed the experience. These tents are the best part of the whole farm. But the outdoor kitchen and the company was also great.

Our favourite stay on Madeira

Pros: Tents were comfortable, cooking facilities great, beautiful location and property. Gardens are beautiful. We had a nice BBQ on our first evening.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind

Pros: Such a wonderful garden!! Loved observing the mountains around throughout the different times of the day. The tents are super comfy, loved the little private fridges inside and the cooking area is great! One of our favourite stays on the island.

Breathtaking views all around!

Pros: The surroundings and the gardens (which are perfectly maintained) of Granny’s Farm are sooo beautiful. The kitchen/bar/bathrooms area is also very sweet and tastefully decorated, very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay surrounded by mountains!

Cons: Not a negative but there are a few local dogs who bark quite late into the night so I’d recommend some ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper!

Magical place, wanna go back immediately!

Pros: Most beautiful place we ever stayed, waking up with the view of the mountains is truly magical. We slept in one of the tents, and loved that everything felt so luxurious and comfortable.

We had a beautiful stay at granny’s farm and would definitely stay again (for longer next time!)

Pros: The atmosphere and views were wonderful! The gardens are a beautiful place to relax, and the property is well located to explore the island.

Cons: Nothing!
