Danny's Rural Suite

Pros: A perfect location if you want to go hiking. Close to several hiking trails (Pico Grande etc.). Only 2km from Curral das Freiras (20 min walk for me, but you can take the bus aswell). The owner is incredibly nice (he wasn't there at the time, bit he was always quick to answer all my questions trough whatsapp). You have the whole top floor to yourself, with a big balcony.

Cons: The only downside I could find was that it was quite damp. When I woke up in the morning, my clothes would be a little damp, but this wasn't a big issue.

Relaxation in the mountains of Madeira!

Pros: A wonderful location surrounded by mountains. The valley is beautiful for exploring and is out the busy-paced Funchal. It allows great access to hiking routes close by and you really feel like you are in the scenic part of the Island. It's a 25 minute drive down to the beach but the drive is beautiful. The accommodation is more modern than the pictures show. It is well furnished and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The family that own the place were also very kind and welcoming Truly I would recommend this - however I would say a car is needed if you want to stay here as isn't that connect to bus transportation if that is your main point of transport.

An amazing little gem of a place to stay, would highly recommend

Pros: We had a 2 bed apartment, looked newly completed, was immaculate, everything needed was there, huge terrace. The pictures on the site really don’t do it justice. Gutted I didn’t book a longer stay, would 100% return, absolutely loved it.

Pros: Amazing experience, the host went above and beyond to help me and is a nice person..I would recommend this place. One of the best in Madeira

Nice accommodation in the mountains with stunning view

Pros: The landscape is gorgeous ! The host is very nice and gives tips for the surrounding areas. The house is clean and spacious. It is not far away from various hiking trails like the Pico Ruivo.

Pros: The host were just amazing. Such a welcoming atmosphere in the whole village.

Amazing view

Pros: Amazing location and view from the balcony. Clean, modern and good decor

Cons: I was offered another property as the one i choose was not available. It worked out well!

Pros: Amazing location. Surrounded by rural life and mountains. Host very helpful.

Landscape is incredible.

Pros: A few days before our trip, the owners messaged to say they had double booked the property but had an alternative just a minute away. We can't comment on the property itself, as we didn't stay there, but the location is breathtaking. We accessed Pico Arieiro just 30 minutes away, and there were several walks locally. Supermarket is very well stocked just two minutes down the road (in a car), and the locals seemed very friendly.

Pros: Location was beautiful, in the quiet Curral das Freiras. The accommodation was very spacious, and the perfect get away, with great access to nearby hikes into the mountains, and spectacular views. It was comfy place to return, and relax, with great facilities to cook our food, and enjoy the area. Also a huge thank you to the owners as I had lost my AirPods, and they kindly messaged me to let me know that they found them, and I was able to pick them up a few days later. Overall a great place to stay, I highly recommend :)
