Fazenda do Sousinha

Pros: We got fresh bananas from the trees which was great! The communication with the owners was very easy.

Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Pros: Just outside of the city but the perfect place to stay. Owners are super friendly and did everything to help us make this an unforgettable stay.

Cons: The only downside for us was the hygiene, the room was not super clean but certainly not dirty either. We also understand that this was normal since we moved into the accommodation the day we booked. Furthermore, there was a strange smell in the bathroom and kitchen cabinets.

Pros: Location in middle of Banana plants but super close to Funchal and shopping center. Kitchen well equipped and bed comfortable.

Cons: Isuggest to put an heater for winter period as in the night is a bit humid. Wi fi connection not the best.

Pros: The view, the location, you have all the privacy you need. The bananas plantations.

Pros: Close to the city (with the car), quiet, nice views - ocean, among the bananas, all equipment provided, extra fresh bananas on the table

Cons: Plenty of mosquitos (Windows had do be closed all the time), smell from the pipes I guess

Pros: The property is located at a beautiful place, in a quiet neighbourhood, surrounded by banana trees

Pros: The terrace with the view and the light to eat outside and the glass window to see the city lights from the bed.

Cons: It's should be nice to have things like oil, kitchen paper, laundry detergent and maybe something for mosquitos.

Pros: The terrace was wonderful and the view from it was beautiful, the room was very big and spacious, the bed was huge, the owner was very kind and gave us bananas from their plantation which were excellent, the bus stop is very close and takes you to the center of Funchal, would recommend.

Cons: The hill to the apartment takes your breath away, literally.

Pros: There are 2 floors + balcony. Wide bathroom. huge bedroom. Amazing design especially kitchen. Kind hosta. Beautiful view at the montain.

Pros: We had a week's stay in Maderia and Fazenda do Sousinha and it was brillant. A stunning Island supported by a fantastic property, very quaint, well proportioned, clean and with all the facilities required. Beautifully situated high up with amazing views, which were appreciated sat out on the verandah with a glass in the evenings. The weather was beautiful. We were a stones throw from Funchal and everywhere else easily accessible with our hire car. A beautiful walking area amongst the banana palms and for the more adventurous further afield. On our arrival Joanne and Oscar made us very welcome. Joanne met us,, showed us around, advised places to visit and eat and kept us in supply of bananas. Bar and shopping facilities all nearby. We would certainly return and would thoroughly recommend this accommodation Thank you Joanne and Oscar
