A perfect oceanfront stay in Madeira - Amazing festive season in the cutest village

Pros: We absolutely loved our time at this ocean facing home. The view alone is worth the trip: wide open, calming, and truly stunning at every hour of the day. The house is thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need, including cooking oil, salt, sugar, coffee, and all the basics that make settling in effortless. One of the unexpected highlights was the location. It is just a two minute walk to a fantastic restaurant that even offers two proper vegan meal options, not the usual burger or fast food fallback but genuinely delicious cooked dishes. The pool was another favourite. From early afternoon onward, the sun hits the water perfectly, making it the ideal spot to relax, swim, and soak in the scenery. We could not have asked for a better base in Madeira. Highly recommended.

Sensational sunset views in a charming little town

Pros: Really enjoyed our stay here it was made very easy and Jardim do Mar is a beautiful quiet little town. The apartment is well placed and a very short walk from the carpark, waterfront and restaurants. The rooftop is the perfect place to chill out at the end of the day exploring the island. The sunsets are incredible, particularly if you come from a part of the world where the sun doesn’t set over an ocean horizon! Kitchen facilities are great and pretty well equipped for an easy meal in. For others not doing their homework it’s about 45mins to an hour drive from the city and Buses are VERY infrequent. Strongly encourage having a car. Read some reviews about the outside noise which I found amusing. My take is you’re staying in a house amongst locals (with probably a lot better amenities then many nearby) people are around you living their lives… and yes you will hear the ocean which is a benefit!

Cons: Minor things only. Towel hanger or hooks would be a welcome addition! And Bed and pillows could be more comfortable.

Pros: The pool on the roof was the main attraction for us, also the view from the living room was fantastic. It even inspired us to cook our seafood diner every evening during our stay thanks to fully equipped kitchen in the apartment. Overall, we left the place with the best experience.

Pros: We spent three nights at this paradise. The house is beautiful, you have everything you need and the terrace with little pool is just amazing. The view is breathtaking. This house was part of our honeymoon and we will be back for sure!!!

Pros: Paradise! Location is perfect in the heart of the town with incredible views over the sea, ideal for checking the surf, from the living area and from the roof terrace. A proper sun trap in the afternoon. The place is lovely, comfortable and cosy with everything we needed to cook and a lovely vibe for relaxing. Will absolutely be returning!

Gorgeous!!

Pros: The view from the roof is absolute stunning!! So beautiful. The indoor Design is really nice and you feel very comfortable. The Pool is amazing as you can relax after a long day of hiking. Its a beautiful place to stay and we would definetly recomment it!! :)

Cons: There are some points only for further guests to know, but they didnt bother us: You have to shower quite fast as there is not much hot water. Some ants in the living room. You cant park in front of the door. The stairs inside the house are very steep.

The right place to slow down!

Pros: It’s all you need for a good rest from daily life. It’s quiet, it’s comfortable and has really pretty views. The host is also really kind.

Cons: Not accessible for people with reduced mobility - or, in general, people that are not comfortable going up and down narrow stairs.

Pros: Nice location and very clean apartment. fully equipped.

Cons: Pool was bit shallow and the stairs a little steep.
