A thoroughly enjoyable stay at a fantastic hotel where the staff went over and above to help.

Pros: This is a great hotel. The breakfast was amazing, the staff were lovely and the cleanliness and decor were first class.

Cons: It was a bit expensive but overall I can't complain about that as the service was so good.

Best hotel stay for some time

Pros: Perfect location in the old town. Rooftop pool is lovely. Comfortable room with nice views. Great breakfast buffet. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Loved it here

A lovely unique hotel in an excellent location.

Pros: We went for a few days over Christmas. The hotel is beautiful and situated very close to the shops and Cathedral.

Cons: The food in the main restaurant was spectacular however fine dining every night if you were there for longer might get a bit too much.

Pros: The location in the centre of Funchal, also managed to be quiet and worked well for us. Staff were excellent, polite, attentive and efficient. Room was well appointed, breakfast excellent.

Cons: The sauna and steam room could have been hotter. A plug near a mirror of drying hair would have been helpful.

Pleasant stay with an excellent location, welcoming staff and a very quiet room.

Pros: Excellent location and very friendly front desk staff. The breakfast was great and the room was truly quiet, which made my stay very comfortable. I had only booked a standard room, but they upgraded me to a suite, and when a problem occurred, management sent a basket of fruit to my room.

Cons: On the downside, the cleaning needs improvement. I repeatedly found hair in the bathroom, clearly left by the cleaning staff, even after the daily cleaning service. The pillows were also not very comfortable.
