Calheta Glamping Pods - Nature Retreat

Pros: We absolutely loved our stay! We booked the larger studio by the pool, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The pool was fantastic, the fresh bread each morning was a lovely touch, and the facilities in the pods were outstanding. This is definitely the place to stay when you’re in Madeira.

Pros: We spent 3 wonderful nights at Calheta Glamping Pods, and it was honestly one of the most unique and lovely accommodations we’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect, peaceful, beautifully surrounded by nature, and ideal for unwinding and enjoying Madeira. Our pod was spotless, modern, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. You can really feel the care and attention that went into creating this place. We felt relaxed and genuinely happy throughout our stay, almost as if we had our own little oasis. We wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for something special, cozy, and memorable. We would absolutely love to come back! ❤️🌿

A wonderful sunset and sunrise.

Pros: 1. View of the ocean. A wonderful sunset and sunrise. 2. Host’s compliment – freshly baked rolls every morning, and jam was also available. 3. A well-built cabin with high-quality equipment. 4. A pleasant chill-out area by the pool.

Cons: 1. The air conditioner had very bright lights that sometimes made it hard to sleep. 2. The pan and knives were worn out. 3. We missed having a small table on the terrace. 4. A slightly dusty plaid was available in the room.

A beautiful and serene nature retreat - perfect for relaxation and reconnecting with nature.

Pros: It was a magnificent place with a breathtaking view. The pod was spotless and comfortable, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and we especially loved the fresh bread delivered every morning. It was the perfect peaceful getaway surrounded by nature.

Cons: There was really nothing negative about the property itself. However, reaching it can be challenging - the road is steep and winding, so driving can be difficult if you’re not used to mountain roads. It’s also important to know that having a car is essential, as getting around or even going to the nearest shop is nearly impossible without one.

Amazing view, comfortable stay!

Pros: The bread we received every morning was helpfull and it was very good bread! The availability of a washing machine was good. The water in the shower was ALWAYS good and warm.

Cons: Maybe for people who stay longer the posibility to have fresh towels every 2-3 days would be nice. The coffee machine in pod 5 leaks too much water, there was more water on the counter than in my cup 🫠

Pros: The view from the Glamping Pods is amazing ! The place is very clean and has everything you need. It is very relaxing. A very nice levada is just five minutes walk away. Lino and Carla are very nice and helpful. I recommend that place and would come again.

An Oasis in the mountains with the best view of the Ocean

Pros: Possibly the best view I've ever experienced. Such a beautiful place! Luscious landscaping meant we had our own little private oasis on a mountain. Nothing better than waking up to a view of the ocean in the morning, or being able to watch the sunset in the evening. Had a lovely pool in the centre of the location which overlooked the forests and the sea. The fresh bread every morning was also an extra touch.

Cons: It would have been nice to have a BBQ area for cooking in the evening.

A true haven of peace !

Pros: A true haven of peace! We spent 5 wonderful days in a beautiful, calm, and very pleasant setting, with a stunning view. Everything was perfect to relax and fully enjoy Madeira. We highly recommend it!

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The views were spectacular and the staff were very welcoming. Extra points for the cats surrounding the premises. Would definitely recommend and come back!
