100% recommended!

Pros: The host, the location and the mountain hut were amazing. It was so extremely peacefull! Would definitely stay again :)

Cons: Only point of improvement: maybe some more cabinets to store stuff or hangers to hang clothes / jackets. But everything else was perfect

Scenic simplicity

Pros: Excellent location. Breathtaking views and great for hiking. Great fun drive to get there.

Perfect romantic stay or hiking starting point

Pros: Very nice property in a very nice location. Perfect for a romantic stay or even a getaway with one kid as well as for the hiking starting point - right in the middle of everything. Very nice stuff, very authentic experience.

Pros: simply amazing - beautiful nature around, quiet at night, spacious enough for a couple even for a longer stay, super comfortable bed, many hiking routes directly accessible, animals around - donkeys, wild rabbis and peacocks...it really had all we needed + the best host...thank you and hope to be back!

Cons: just to keep in mind - not much internet, difficult without car, nearby restaurant closed on mon+tue and no, you don't need to bring water in plastic bottles, the tap water is totally fine

Amazing location, cozy and comfortable cabin

Pros: This was an incredible location and beautifully presented cabin. Cabin was cozy, well.equipped, quiet and felt private. Lovely sitting on the balcony listening to the wind in the trees and birdsong. All very clean and the bed was very comfy, with memory foam bed and pillows. There are amazing hikes that you can do from the front door, such as PR3 and another trail up into the mountains. We enjoyed these more than other hikes in the area as they were so quiet- we only saw a handful of other people on them.

Cons: It would have been useful to have information on arrival about being careful not to use too much hot water at once (e.g shower and washing up) as we ended up with half a cold shower on the first night.

Pros: Absolument tout!! Le chalet, le paysage, le calme absolu, l'accueil de notre hôte, la possibilité de faire de superbes randonnées dans le parc, jusqu'au pico do Areeiro, sans rencontrer personne. Et si vous voulez faire le lever de soleil au pico, c est à 10min en voiture!!

Cons: Rien

Pros: Wirklich aussergewöhnliche Lage mitten in der Natur. Alles strahlt hier eine Ruhe und natürliche Schönheit aus. Man kann direkt auf den PR3 loslaufen, der einen zum Pico de Areeiro bringt. Da dieser nach km 1.2 gesperrt ist, kann man die Wanderung komplett von der Unterkunft aus machen. Die Häusschen sind sehr gemütlich, es duftet nach Holz und es ist trotzdem auch modern eingerichtet. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und es wurde sich auch während unseres Aufenthaltes immer wieder erkundigt wie es uns geht und ob alles passt, wenn man sich über den Weg gelaufen ist. Wer Ruhe und Natur will ist hier definitiv an der richtigen Adresse. In dem Naturparkt von Funchal gelegen warscheinlich auch einzigartig für Madeira.

Cons: Wir haben unseren Toast in der Pfanne geröstet, da es leider keinen Toaster gab. Ansonsten war aber eine gute Küchenausstattung mit Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle und Gewürzen vorhanden.

Pros: Me gustó todo, las instalaciones (con todo tipo de detalle y comodidad), el maravilloso entorno (que incluso con lluvia y niebla que me pillo a mi fue espectacular) y la gran amabilidad de Dioclecio. Un sitio perfecto para desconectar del mundo y como punto de partida para disfrutar diferentes trekkings.

Belle expérience

Pros: Super concept en pleine nature. Le restaurant-bar à proximité (10' à pied) est très convivial et sert des bons mets. Le chalet est bien équipé et confortable. Belle rando jusqu'au Pico Arieiro depuis le chalet.

Cons: Dommage que les extérieurs ne soient pas mieux entretenus et équipés...
