Canico Bay Apartments

Pros: Clean rooms. Good location. Nice swimming pool. Looking better in reality then on the pictures.

Cons: Location was very windy. Water in the pool was very cold. Hard to swim.

I do recommend this apartment for your stay at Madeira!

Pros: The apartment is great with a significant view to the ocean! The housekeepers are so nice, they bought a hairdryer with diffuser especially for me because I need it for curly hair. Also the location itself is very convenient, it is not far from Funchal and the airport.

Well equipped apartments in a very convenient location.

Pros: A very functional space with a sea view. For breakfast and other meals we prepared ourselves we often sat at the table outside where we could also watch the sun rise. During the days leading up to our stay at these apartments, you could message any questions to the operator of the apartments. I frequently received responses within minutes - even during evenings. Very helpful. Our host came to meet us as we arrived in the car and she was really friendly and helpful. We found the location quiet despite being very convenient for a few local restaurants on the same road. The food was good at these eateries and at very acceptable prices - including the local beer! Generally, anything we needed was only a short walk away. These included, shops, lovely bakery, coffee, bar, restaurants, bus stop (eg for Funchal), gym and less than 5 minutes you are walking along a lovely promenade right by the beach.

Cons: Very little to be fair. The general decoration and facilities are starting to age and look a bit tired. But that's purely aesthetic and was not detrimental to their function or our stay. There are a few hotels in the immediate vicinity, but I'm sure the daily rate of those would be far higher. We hired a car. There are only 3 free off-street spaces, but we managed to park there most of the time. If they are taken, there are many free spaces further along the road from the apartment.

Pros: The location was amazing and right by the beach , had a great ocean view and very friendly staff to help with all our needs. Overall it was excellent.

Cons: There was no other way to block the light except of curtains, which would not close completely, however it is a minor concern that did not affect the holiday in any way !

Pros: Initially I booked a studio, but the owner provided me with one bed apartment with pretty much everything one need. He also advised on local food, shopping and entertainment.

Cons: Undergoing construction In the building across the road.

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at this apartment! The location was excellent, offering breathtaking sunrise views and very convenient as a basepoint to visit the island. The apartment itself is spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Moreover, the staff is very kind, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the island!

Pros: the hotel was, very cozy and peaceful! it was also great value for money and just a stone's throw from some nice restaurants and the promenade. the staff were very lovely as well, both Ricardo and Dio Mera were very friendly and welcoming, they also helped us with where to go and what to do!
